It's been a couple weeks, a couple weeks of nothing but time to myself and I've just grown numb. Imagine being completely on your own while you watch everyone else continue with their happy lives.
It was lunchtime and I was sat in the courtyard when I saw Dad and the team a few tables away probably talking about team dinner this evening, Dad looked over at me and smiled and waved before smirking. I looked at him confused before he nodded over to the entrance
My gaze shifted as did the teams, there he was, there he stood in all his glory
A smile instantly crept onto my face as I started rushing over to him
"Hey kiddo" He whispered catching me mid air into a hug
"I've missed you" i whispered, he chuckled hugging me tighter
"i've missed you more" he said finally allowing my feet to grace the floor
"what are you doing here?" I asked as I watched him smile at dad before walking with me to my table
"Well you see, a little birdie told me that you weren't okay" He said
"mum" I mumbled
"Luce she is just looking out for you" he said
"I know Jack but I didn't need a chaperone" I explained and he chuckled
"you think im here to do that? Hell no lucy, I'm here to make you have some fun" He said before stealing some of my food

|Alfie's POV|

Practice swiftly rolled around except this time coach wasn't alone, Lucy and the mystery guy was there too
"Okay kids but seriously don't be late" Coach warned them
"Whats going on" One of the boys asked. Like is was his business?
"Nothing" Coach said looking at him strange
"See you later dad" Lucy said kissing her dads cheek before running off with this guy
"Who is that" Noah asked me and I shrugged. She cut us off just like we did to her, I have no idea who that is
Our practice for this evening didn't last as long as it usually does because of the team dinner this evening, Coach wanted us to all go home, get showered and dress up nice Dress code: Tux

"now don't you look dapper" Noah chuckled as we all arrived at the venue, I rolled my eyes as the three of us walked in. Everyone seemed to be there except Lucy and the guy
"I knew they would be late" Coach said to his wife, she chuckled fixing his tie
"Honey calm down, she hasn't seen him since the move" She reminded him
"I gave them on instruction, not to be late" he said
"I'm only 5 minutes late dad keep you wig on" Lucy said walking in, she was breath taking, she was wearing a silver floor length dress and it fit her body perfectly
"Your look beautiful baby" Alison said hugging Lucy
"So do you mumma" She said with a smile
"I still don't see why I have to attend these" Lucy rolled her eyes at her dad
"Where is Jack?" Coach asked
"Parking the car" Lucy replied taking seat in front of me, I still couldn't take my eyes off of her
"Staring is rude dude" Noah whispered finally breaking me out of my trance
"Now everyone is here" Coach said watching the guy Jack walk in
"Thank you all for coming" He said smiling

"You must be him" Jack said coming over to me while I stood outside, I looked at him a little confused
"What?" I asked
"You must be the guy that isolated her?" He asked and I bowed my head
"Why did you do it man? she is one heck of a girl" He said, I looked at him confused
"you don't know?" I asked and he shook his head
"If I don't know bet your ass neither does Lucy" Jack replied
"her dad told us all to , he said we all needed to stay away from her or lose our place on the team. All of us have been working all our lives for the scholarships we have managed to gain, I don't want to do this and I tried to fix it" I said
"but you can't throw your lives work away" He mumbled and i nodded
"I would do anything to be able to help her, I hate seeing her how shes been the last couple weeks but there is nothing I can do" I explained
"You barely know her" He explained and I nodded
"Trust me I know but I don't know there is something about her" I confessed and he chuckled
"I should not be saying that to her boyfriend" I continued making Jack burst out laughing
"Boyfriend? Man I'm her uncle" he laughed
"What? how? You are like the same age as her?" I asked confused
"Yeah I'm 2 years older then her" he chuckled
"So now I just seem like an idiot" I mumbled
"no no man, I get it a lot, it's something I've learnt to accept" He laughed again
"But Alfie, I'm telling you now. Maybe you should tell her what is going on? she may understand more then you think" Jack explained.. Little does he know I already tried that
