The next morning, I woke up at 9 in the morning because the sun was already shining through the window. I looked around the room and saw Ali still sound asleep, but Ry wasn't there.
I got up and made my way to the kitchen because I was starving. We had slept over at Ali's house because her parents weren't home for the weekend, I didn't want to go home and deal with my toxic mom and Ry didn't want his parents to know he was at a party.
I switched on the kettle and I was about to track Ry's location, then I heard him talk while standing at the entrance.
"You know, normal people would just call me instead of trying to track me, you pshyco."
I looked over and saw him carrying a bag, which I'm guessing had food in it because I could smell cookies. I had to stop myself from tackling him down to the ground and taking the bag.
"Like you'd ever pick up the phone," I said whilst rolling my eyes.
He just stood there and stretched his middle finger as far as he could.
"I love you too Ry, anyways where were you," I asked casually.
"What are you, my mom?" he said while placing the bag onto the counter.
I childishly made a face at him and stuck my tongue out.
"Whatever who cares, let's just eat the food," I said as I grabbed the bag.
"And who the fuck said it was for you," he said while holding on to the bag.
"Wow clearly you two don't understand the concept of shutting up," Ali said as she wobbly walked down the stairs.
"I don't shut up I grow up and when I look at you, I throw up," I said while holding my hand to my hip.
"Lordt help me not kill you right now," Ali said as she took a sit on the dining room table. "So, are we eating or what?"
"You two really like inviting yourselves," Ry said as he took out the food from the bag which was enough for three people.
"What are you pregnant? Were you really planning on eating this alone?" I asked as I looked at him.
"I'd believe him if he says he is, I mean he has been acting pregnant a lot lately." Ali said while stuffing a muffin into her mouth.
"Yep, hormones all over the place right now," I said in a hushed tone.
"Can you two shut up," Ry says clearly not amused.
"Daddy chill," I say with a serious face and Ali bursts into a fit of giggles.
"You're so annoying," Ry says while smiling slightly.
"And you love us for it," Ali adds on while trying to steady her breathing.
We all joked and teased each other while eating.
"So do you know what you're going to make Nick do yet?" Ry asked curiously.
"I have a couple of ideas but I need you guy to help me narrow it down," I said with a slight smirk creeping onto my face.
oo
The weekend flew by fast and it was finally Monday.
"I can't believe you're making me do this," Nick said while clearly rethinking his whole life.
"Just suck it up and go in," Ali said while impatiently tapping her foot on the ground.
Nick walked in through the school's front entrance and everyone's attention immediately diverted to him. He was wearing a tight tank top with a mini golf skirt. His dark hair fell over his face but it wasn't long enough to cover his whole face, which was covered with makeup and foundation that didn't match his skin tone, making him look like a constipated oompa loompa.
After a long awkward moment, Ronald broke the silence and burst into laughter. Everyone else joined in and soon enough the hallway was filled with laughter and camera flashes.
"Wow man, next time let us know when you're looking for a new style, we can help you, clearly you need the help," Seth said as he walked up still laughing and barely managing to get a word out.
"You look like you got attacked by clowns," Alex said while trying his best to not laugh.
I looked over at Ali and she was staring at Alex and clearly zoned out. I caught Ry's attention and immediately started moving my eyes frantically from Ali to Alex.
"Well enjoy the rest of the day don't forget to meet us up front after school but in a less embarrassing outfit, don't wanna commit social suicide," I said as I walked away with Ry and Ali.
Ali was in the middle so Ry and I put one arm each around her, which pulled her out of the day dream and we walked away.
"What was that?" Ry said as he raised one eyebrow at Ali.
"What was what?" Ali said acting confused.
"Stop playing dumb your eyes were piercing through his soul," I said while coming to a stop at my locker.
"No, they weren't I was looking at something behind him, and besides I'd never be interested in a guy like him, we're complete opposites, he's way too soft for my liking," Ali said in the most convincing voice she could master.
"No one said anything about you liking him," I said while shutting my locker and we made our way to Ry's locker.
"I know I just thought I should answer questions you might have," Ali said responding quickly.
"Sure whatever, just try do research on him before you do anything dumb," Ry said in a serious tone.
"What, you think he's a serial killer?" Ali said jokingly.
"I'm serious Alissa, everyone has a dark side and I don't want you getting hurt emotionally or physically," Ry said while turning to face her.
Ali nodded and then the bell for first period rang so we made our way to class. All three of us went to our regular seats and we found Nick sitting there.
"You're in my seat idiot," Ali snapped at him.
"Last time I checked these seats weren't assigned," Nick said while slowly smirking.
"Just get up man," Ry said as he stepped forward hovering above him.
"Listen I just want to sit here because this seat is at the back corner of the class and no one ever looks this side, I'm not trying to get people to stare at me," Nick said firmly.
"Why didn't you just change?" I ask while rolling my eyes.
"I forgot my clothes in your car and I couldn't exactly call you and ask for the keys because I don't have your number," Nick replied as if it was obvious.
"Wow, sucks to be you, so where am I supposed to sit," Ali asks looking around at all the already taken seats.
"Not all seats are taken, there's a free one right there," Nick said as he gestured towards the seat beside Alex.
"I am not sitting there," Ali said while clearly freaking out.
"Sit down young lady I don't have all day," Mr. Sinclair said as he walked in.
Nick smirked and Ali sent him a death glare, while I sat in between an annoyed Ry an amused Nick.
"It seems I made a mistake by not assigning seats seems some of you are clearly indecisive," Mr. Sinclair said as he gave a pointed look toward Ali. "So now, wherever you're sitting, that will be your permanent seat until this school year ends, any complaints about this can be kept to yourselves."
My heart dropped to my ass and Ali turned to face me with wide eyes.
"Shit," Ry murmured under his breath.
"This should be fun," Nick said in a deep husky voice and I felt his breath tickling my neck, sending shivers down my spine.
