marion was sitting on the sofa, reading 'secrets of the darkest arts' nibbling on a chocolate bar. she had been incredibly moody the last three days, not letting anyone command her around. not that anyone tried. it could be the fact that she and james almost kissed, or that she was on her period, both equally likely.

everyone was getting on her nerves, she needed peace, and she knew exactly where to get that.

taking a couple of books, leaving only a note of where she had gone and possibly when she would be back, she headed to the apparition point, and apparated.

...

she went up to the dark townhouse and knocked. she could hear a terrible screaming, and the door opened to a messy haired regulus showing up at the door. "oh shut up whale booger." she said to the portrait.

marion walked right past regulus and into the living room. "what are you doing here? it is seven in the morning."

marion hadn't thought about the time, apologizing she started reading again.

"why are you reading a dark arts book?"

"they are more exciting." she told him in a monotone voice. she checked how many pages were left of the book, and continued reading.

"perhaps you would like some tea." regulus was not sure of what to say.

"no."

"ok."

a couple of hours went by and regulus had noticed a slight change in her attitude, she no longer had a deep scowl on her face, instead a small frown.

"spit it out, what's wrong?" he sat up right with his hands in his lap.

marion dramatically sighed and sat in the same position as her friend, she hesitated before finally confessing, "i almost kissed james. there i said it, happy?" she turned back to the book.

regulus' jaw dropped, his eyes were wide. "you what?!" he shouted, not realising it until marion flinched, "sorry."

"i didn't want to talk about it. it is incredibly embarrassing."

"you like him." regulus stated.

she flushed a deep shade of crimson. "n-no i do not."

he looked at her as if saying 'you sure about that'

"yes i am sure, now let me continue reading in peace."

regulus dropped the topic and let her read her book.

...

"he's been pacing around for ages." sirius said to remus, both looking at the bespectacled man pacing a hole in the floor. "and i don't even know why. he tells me everything."
