Hades walks through the halls of the Hazbin Hotel, he has been there for a week and there is so much of the place he hasn't seen yet. "Good thing I can teleport or I'd be lost for days." Hades said to himself as he walks around. He would stop every now and then to look at the decor or out the window to see Hell outside. As he keeps walking something caught his eye. A picture of Angel Dust and Alastor with a baby. His baby.
Hades sighed as he stared at what Harmony use to look like. The fates said that Harmony would have been what he had named her as well if she has gone to him. He can't picture himself being a good dad but he has surprised himself lately. He finds himself being a little overprotective or sometimes sappy in his opinion. He's only known her for a week and already she had his heart.
"Dad?"
Hades looked to see Harmony walking up to him. "Hey Harmony."
"You ok?" Harmony asked then saw the picture. "Oh."
Hades sighed. "You were cute."
"Hey, I still am." Harmony chuckled.
"Just can't help but wonder what it would have been if you had come to me." Hades admitted.
"I know." Harmony nodded. "I do too, I mean you're so awesome. It would have been a blast to be raised by you. How would you have handled waking up to my crying or me in my terrible twos?"
Hades chuckled and pulled her to him. "I don't know."
Harmony suddenly got an idea. "There is a way we can find out."
"There is?" Hades asked.
"Yep." Harmony took his hand and snapped her fingers and they were now in front of a huge and creepy castle.
"What is this?" Hades asked.
"Come on." Harmony took his hand and they went right in, the demon guards didn't even blink. Some even smiled, nodded, or waved to her.
"Well now, isn't this a surprise."
Harmony and Hades looked up to see the one and only Lucifer.
"Hey, sorry but I actually came here to ask you something." Harmony smiled at him.
Lucifer walked down the steps. "Hades, I am such a huge fan of yours. I knew this little demon looked familiar the minute I saw her. What can I do for the king and princess of the dead?"
"We wanted to know what it would have been like if I was with him." Harmony explained. "If my bitch of a grandma hadn't given me to Alastor and Angel."
"Ah yes, I was so amazed by the possibilities. You know dear there is a whole world that shows what you would have been if you were or weren't raised by Hades."
"What do you mean?" Hades asked.
"Oh fates didn't make one life for Harmony to have. They had many. Why there was one where Harmony was found and raised by two boys who are demon hunters."
"What?" Harmony gasped.
"I know, spooky right?" Lucifer chuckled. "There's also one where you were raised here in Hell by a couple of murdering imps."
Hades groaned. "Anything but imps."
"Well thanks for making me have nightmares for a while Lucifer, but um we came to see about me and my dad here."
"Right this way." Lucifer grinned wider as he brought them to a library. "Now let's see..." Lucifer looked at the shelves until he found the right one. "Ah, here we are." Lucifer pulled out a thick book and gave it to Harmony who was at that moment very thankful for her super-strength. "Just look at the index and turn to the right page. Have fun." With that, he left.
"That's the devil?" Hades asked. "He seems like a nice guy."
Harmony chuckled. "Only to who he loves, I've seen his bad side. Trust me, it's not pretty."
"So how is this big book suppose to help?" Hades asked.
"It's an enchanted book, only angels and Lucifer has these." Harmony explained before going back to the hotel with him.
"How does it work?" Hades asked as he and Harmony sat on his bed.
"Just open it." Harmony replied before she did so.
Hades blinks surprised as he was in the underworld. "Why are we here?"
"We're not." Harmony explained before she pointed and Hades saw himself.
"What the?"
"Just watch, you can see him but he can't see you. We're in an alternate universe of what would have happened if I was raised by you."
Hades paces back and forth with his finger tapping his chin in thought.
"You ok your flamefullness?" Pain finally asked.
Hades turns to them. "I literally just found out I have a daughter, I need to think of a name for her."
"She already has a name." Panic said confused.
"What? How?" Hades glared at them.
"Her birth certificate was in her blanket." Panic showed him.
Hades snatched it and read it. "Heather? Steph named my daughter Heather? Oy figures Steph would name her after a flower. Well, it starts with the word heat so that's not so bad."
"Her middle name is blank sir." Pain pointed out.
Hades looked at it to see his new daughter Heather didn't have a middle name. "Ok, I can work with that. Let's see, it has to be a good goddess name, something meaningful..."
Hades thoughts were interrupted by his daughter's cries. Hades already had parental instincts making him rush to her. "What is it Heather?" He asked as soft as he could.
She just kept on.
Hades was not sure what to do since he never took care of anyone before. He slowly put her down and played his guitar since it helps him think. He notices the more he played the quieter she got. "You like your new daddy's music?"
She just looks at him with a look Hades has never gotten. Love.
Hades felt himself get up and walk to her. "Harmony."
She smiled at him bigger.
"Heather?" Hades raised his brow only to get a look of confusion.
"Harmony?"
Her confused face turned into a smile again.
Hades chuckles. "Heather Harmony Hades. I like it. Has a nice ring to it. You seem to like Harmony more though huh? We can work with that." He gave his hand to her which she happily held on to.
Hades felt himself smiling a real smile. Not a sinister smile, not an evil smile, not a deadly smile. A real happy and loving smile as he held her to him.
"Hello Harmony, I'm your daddy."
Harmony closed the book and Harmony and Hades were back in his room in the hotel. "Wanna do another?" Harmony asked.
"Hell yeah." Hades grinned.
Hades and Harmony spent the whole day watching what would have happened with those two. Harmony's first word was daddy. Her first step was to him, she scared him when she teleported for the first time at a year old, and there was lots of watching him singing her to sleep. As they got more ahead they widen their eyes as it would have turned out Harmony was part of the core group and was one of the first chosen ones to go to Auradon.
"I don't believe it." Hades said.
"I know." Harmony gasped as she watches her and Mal hug. "I WOULD HAVE BEEN FRIENDS WITH THAT BITCH?!"
