Isabella comes from a not so ordinary family. She was different then all the other kids but then something changed. She went from nobody, to the girl everyone knew. Only to impress the popular boy Aiden. He was hot and steamy with blue eyes that made you think you were in a hot dream. His long brown hair that sways in the wind, always girls surrounding him hoping to take him off the single market. But he always gives me that look, the look he doesn't give to any other.
But I'm probably only deluding myself, Aiden would never like a girl like me. I have brown eyes, tan skin and blond hair. I need to stop trying even though I've liked him for the past year but that's beside the point. I need to do something that will make me catch his eye. The annual Winter dance is coming up and I need to figure out a plan to get him to invite me to the Winter dance. As I sat in maths class I couldn't stop thinking about how to impress Aiden; I picked up my black pen and started scribbling on the gridded paper set before me trying to come up with ideas. Sophie, my best friend knew about my obsession for Aiden but I think she likes him too so I can't get her to help me because then she will just come up with an idea herself and steal Aiden off of me. I left maths class with absolutely no ideas; I honestly give up. I was so caught up in my thoughts I tripped and dropped everything in my arms with my papers flying everywhere. I saw hands reach down beside me. As I looked up I saw Aiden helping me pick up my books.
"Here I'll help you, Isabella right?" stated Aiden.
Aiden spoke to me and he knew my name. I was so speechless I didn't know what to say. I was trembling, I didn't want to make my first impression terrible.
"Hey, hi, I mean yeah, I'm Isabella, and you're Aiden," trembled Isabella.
I was so nervous that I'd make a fool of myself, his firm voice made me like him even more and I just wanted to kiss him. But I didn't of course, that would be stupid. We locked eye contact and for some reason I couldn't break it. It was to powerful but, that's probably just me, of course this type of stuff was only real in fairytales.
He stood up and put his hand out. His soft hands made contact with mine and pulled me up off the ground. He handed me the rest of my work and walked off in the other direction. Probably walking to the library but I didn't want to be a stalker or anything. I can't believe what just happened did this mean something or was it all just a misunderstanding. I was clueless but inside I hoped it wasn't the end.
At the end of school I went over to Sophia's. Obliviously not my house with my crazy parents all they do is talk about God and what not. All gibberish to me.
"Are you even listening to me," Stated Sophia
"Yea' of course, why haven't I been?"
"Well what was I just talking about?" demanded Sophia.
I sat there in silence, of course I didn't know what she was saying at all, my thoughts only on the run in I had with Aiden but I couldn't tell Sophia that, because then she would get all under my skin about it.
"See you weren't listening Isabella, what's wrong with you today you've been acting so weird?"
"It's none of your business, you don't need to know everything Sophia. Just let me keep this to myself, look great timing my mum is here to pick me up," snapped Isabella.
Once I got home I felt so bad for yelling at Sophia but someone needed to put her in her place. I sent her a message apologising and she replied that she was 'ok with it' - whatever that means - and that she understood and would take my advice. Finally I didn't have to deal with her and I can focus on Aiden, I mean school work. Yeah school work. I open my textbook and a tiny page fell from the book onto my bed. It was folded several times. I unfolded it to see a number on it. I was so clueless. Then it hit me. AIDEN.
