Rosa's POV

What? Love!?

"You deserve to know, Rosa. I know what you have become. I don't approve, but I know how good you are. I also know you have seen who your actual family is, through the birth-certificate I left purposely for you on the bed. Go to them, Peanut," Bianca uses the term she used to call me before, "They will help you. But now, stay with Nicolas."

"What...What is going on, Bianca?" Nick asks, slowly.

She sighs.

"I, along with Rosa, were kidnapped by a powerful enemy of her father when she was small. He had left a letter before taking me, so Rosa's father thought that I ran away with Rosa. And that's how my life started becoming a hellhole. He and his men used to ra-rape me everyday. On-one day, he said he wanted his 21 year old son to take 4 year old Rosa's vi-virginity. Of course I disagreed. He told me, he wouldn't take it if I allowed him and his three brothers to rape me at the same time, along with filming me. I was confused, saying that he normally didn't ask permission, but naturally, I agreed. And so they did. Only then did I know that they had filmed the conversation along with the tape and had sent it to my husband, editing it in such a way that it looked like I was cheating on him, and kidnapped Rosa. Somehow, that day, I escaped along with Rosa, because they were busy celebrating, but not after killing that man.

On the streets, I met Abidemi," pausing to sneer at his name, "I thought he was a better man, but no, he was just like all others. Rosa, I know you're intelligent enough to realise that each one of my ex-husbands, except your father, are dead. And you know, it was me. I've been such a bad mother. I knew I deserved all that you told me. But please know that I love you, Rosa. I love your brothers, your father and your grandparents. Hopefully, one day you'll understand. I knew this was going to be my last house, so I chose Nickolai, because I trust him enough to protect you." She pauses and takes a deep breath, releasing it in a sigh.

"Nickki, I don't know if you'll remember me, but I was your friend in school. Please keep my daughter safe."

"Bebo." Nick inhales. "I should have realised it was you."

(A/N- Totally not inspired by Kareena. Nope, nada.)

She gives him a sad smile. "Now you know."

"Y-" Kieta interrupts Nick. "Time up! I'm tired of your sob-story. I need to kill others too, I don't have all day. So three...two..one..."

"Mom!" I choke out. Nick comes and hides me in his chest. A gunshot follows and a body falls to the ground. "Bianca, no!" Nick shouts, but another body follows.

What?

I peek and realise what happened.

Nick's men had killed Abidemi, and Mom had shot herself.

"No." I whisper. I run to mom's body and cradle her head.

"No. No, no no no, mom, please wake up! Mom please! You can't leave me! I love you too mom, please wake up! I cry hysterically.

Nick picks me up and shushes me.

"Rosa, listen to me." He signals his men something, and takes me to my room.

"Why?" I scream. "Why,why why?!!" My tone breaks and I sob. And sob. And sob.

Nick comforts me, but it does nothing to fill the void in my heart. My brain tries to remember Mom, the glimpse of 'mom' I saw today. The one who played tag with me and my brothers, the one who sang lullabies to me. The one who used to tell me stories and scare my brothers. The 'mom' who used to love my father.

~~~~TIME SKIP~~~~
Zina's POV
It had been 2 weeks since shit went down. Zio (Uncle) and all my fratelli (Brothers) had slowly come back to normal. But Rosa had been cooped in her room since then Zia's funeral hadn't been held yet, since Rosa was refusing to talk to anyone, and she had most rights on her body.
Enough is enough.
I walk into Rosa's room, and find her curled on the bed with her back facing me. She didn't smell. Thank god, she took showers.
"Leave me alone. I don't want to talk to anyone."
"Well, that's too bad," I drawl out, "Because I'm tired of you acting like a baby. Woman up, we're going shopping and to a salon. Your mother's funeral is today."
She turns and glares at me. "I'm not going."
"Not an acceptable answer." I tch.
***timeskip***
After 2 hours of persuading, Rosa finally gets up and goes get *decently* dressed.
I swear to god whoever is going to date her is going to love her. I guess boys love girls who spend less of their money. Sigh.
Time for shopping!
