Kabanata 20
Finances
Natapos ang quarterly exams namin at na announce na rin ang cream of the crop. So far, I'm contented with my grades. He's number one. 98 ang average while I only have 95.
It's a healthy competition with him. He worked hard too.
He smirked. "Thanks sayo,"
"You worked hard for it too."
"Deserve ko ng milktea."
"Bili ka."
"Mag milktea tayo mamayang uwian."
"Why?" He asked.
"Hindi kayo magkikita ni Aliza mamaya?"
"Bukas pa. Sabado."
"We have a peer tutoring ha..."
"I'll never forget that, Kamalei."
"Don't call me that," Irap ko.
It would be an all girls and all boys exclusive and our final exam would be a competition. I have no problems with it. Like I said, I'm not sporty but I'm active. I can certainly train for a week or two until I become better at something. After our PE class, I was immediately asked to lead our class in 21st Century Literature.
After finishing some reports for our major subjects, I took a small break during our break time. Vanna's with me all the time. She even bought a snacks for me because I was too busy with all the academic loads.
"Napansin kong wala kang tubig."
Surprised with his words, and whatever game he must be playing, I wasn't able to utter anything at all but a small smile.
He smirked, as if he expected that this would be my reaction.
He carefully pushed the water bottle near me and licked his lower lip. "Ubusin mo 'yan ha."
