CONDENSATED AIR FILLED THE ATMOSPHERE as trees cower from the harsh wind. A steady drizzle of rain began to descend from somber clouds; crystal tears landing silently on the pavement. Incandescent lightning illuminates the sky, shortly followed by a deafening rumble. Drenched locks dripped down Faye's covered back as she wearily followed after her brother into the clinic. Hurriedly, they placed the young boy on the metal table, all looking towards the older man expectantly.
"Wow." He breathed heavily, brown eyes widening at the sight.
Stiles looked from the young boy and the vet, shaking his head. "Wow? Wow as in, I've seen this before and I know exactly what to do, kind of wow?" He asked, breathlessly. "Cause that's the kind of wow we were hoping for."
The dark-skinned man stared back at the pale boy, evidently processing the situation in front of him. "I think you might be overestimating my abilities" He answered as the strawberry blonde carefully took Derek's freezing hand into her own, Faye grasping the other.
"He's cold." She informed, glancing up from the boy to her friends while the rest of the pack looked at her intently.
"Very cold." The she-wolf butted in, receiving a glare from the usually hyperactive boy opposite her. The vet looked up at Faye, nodding his head while proceeding to check over the younger boy again.
Uncertainty blanketed Scott's features as he locked eyes with each member of his pack. "Do you think this is permanent."
Brightness vividly covered the unconscious boy's eyes as Deaton continued inspecting his condition. "I'm not sure a medical diagnosis is even adequate." He spoke, glancing at the werewolf. "This is well beyond my experience."
