"Run away, Run away, you have been forewarned,"
Kerdict paused, shutting his back door behind him as he eyed the sidewalk down to his school. He had a bit of a walk, but he didn't mind it unless it was cold out, to which he just flew. He waited for a bit, clenching his hands in his sweater pockets, adjusting his appearance to seem more human.
"Zemetric, walk with me for now," Kerdict hummed, glancing down at his shadow. He watched it fizzle as he heard a snicker behind him, Zemetric tapping him on the shoulder. Kerdict thought his prescence seemed warmer now, not the same ice he'd felt for the last evening.
"What if I'm seen-?" Zemetric hummed, Kerdict turning to him. He stood shorter, but Zemetric was hovering, as if laying on a lawn chair. Kerdict watched the shadows under him swirl like a whirlpool, Zemetric waiting for a response.
"I'll say you're a friend from out of town just dropping me off. Leave when we get there and just fade back to me when you're out of sight," Kerdict reasoned, Zemetric flipping on his stomach, resting his head on his folded arms. He held the same sneaky grin as usual, his common day appearence visible. Antlers, inked eyes and torn mouth. His hands were tipped black, the boney tail and skull floating around his head barely visible.
"You have to look human," Kerdict finished as Zemetric scoffed. "Does that mean that I have to walk-," He scolded, Kerdict nodding as Zemetric glared at him. Kerdict watched the shadows disappear in an instant, Zemetric falling to the ground, brushing off his clothes. Kerdict eyed his appearence, their eyes connecting when Zemetric grinned at him again.
"Alright, let's go, I can give and get you some information on the royal children while there," Zemetric snickered, Kerdict nodding in thanks. They started walking, Zemetric already looking bored with it.
"That sounds good, just be careful. They have sensors and there's usually guards in the rooms they are in," Kerdict noted, glancing at Zemetric who was grinning, staring forward.
"That will make this much more fun, I just need an energy boost," Zemetric said, his voice turning ominous, turning to Kerdict and walking in front of him. Kerdict slowed, confused slightly as he eyed Zemetrics movements, still weary of the wendigo.
"How-? I don't know how you're even gettin-," Kerdict was cut off when Zemetric hit him. It was sudden, Zemetric speeding at an inhumane pace. Kerdict froze, a look of shock on his face as he leaned over slightly, gripping his face where Zemetric had hit him. He felt annoyance swirl in him as he stood straight to yell at the boy. He lowered his hand, glaring. He felt the tips of his hair heat up, fire building on his fingertips as he was about to argue why Zemetric had done what he did.
He stopped when Zemetric leaned closer to him, the wendigos eyes filing with the black ink that Kerdict saw so often. He spotted the shadows reappearing around them in a sort of whirlwind affect, trying to back up. He froze when he felt Zemetric place a hand on his chest, a sudden nausea filling him as his anger diminished. He felt like he was literally being drained, the slight fear he even felt this morning fading as he tried to focus on Zemetric, unable to move. He felt all of his emotions from the moment fade, his only thought in hoping Zemetric would stop, growing dependent, the wendigo soon becoming the only thing he could make out. Zemetric grinned, gripping Kerdicts arm.
Kerdict felt his eyes grow heavy, stumbling for a moment, his eyes beginning to water. He grew confused, his vision darkening as he looked up at Zemetric again who was still grinning, his expression unmoving as he lowered Kerdict to the ground. He dropped Kerdict, letting go as he exhaled loudly, snickering.
"Just give it a minute~," Zemetric hummed. He glanced around, weary of people. He knew this was an unlikeable place to do this, but he had to do it suddenly, to get the most energy from Kerdict. He raised a hand, forming the large shadows around then to grow thicker so that they became invisible to anyone around. Flicking his hand, they became mirrored, the shadows making them invisible now.
