I hear the ring of the alarm next to me as I sigh and turn over to my nightstand to turn it off. I just sat there on the bed looking through the window, it was still dark out well what did I expect its 4:30 in the morning after finally getting out of bed I made the bed and headed to the bathroom where complete my hygiene routine. Making my way to the closet as I ponder on what colour scrubs I will be wearing today. After 8 minutes of back and forth, I finally decided on bright green. To be honest I don't even like green but I was a gift from my parents when I started clinical I checked my phone to see that it was already 5:10 and rushed to do my hair in a centre part with a low bun (typical) ran to the kitchen and grab a granola bar and made my protein shake adding my secret ingredient and sprinted through the door .
There was not much traffic this early especially since its Sunday. I got to Saint Leslie hospital at 5:45 .As I walked through the hospital doors the cool alcohol scented air filled my lungs "ahhh I love the smell of the hospital in the morning" I said as I walked pass the nurses station to the interns room where med students could place their stuff .I placed my handbag a locker and took out my notepad and pen and made my way to the to the post op wing where I checked on that status of all patients who I was assigned to .Luckily a surgery had just began as I finished my post op check up so I was able to watch 5 hours flew by as the surgeons where finally closing the patient .
