Amity's view

--------------------------------

Dark night, stars shine brightly in the abyss that is Manchester City Centre. I'm after her. Slowly creeping up. Slow. Breath quietly as I sneak closer and closer. She still hasn't noticed, she's just looking left and right. Waiting for me. Searching for me. I pounce onto her knocking her onto the pavement. "Tag! Your it!" I run off laughing as she gets up and brushes off the dirt. Running after me, Amelia shouts, "Get back here stupid! That's not even fair! Rematch now!" Her voice sounds serious so I turn slowly. She's running full pelt towards me and I don't even have time to react as she smacks me on the shoulder and cuts off towards the train station. Stop, I think but words won't come out now... I'm too tired... I slip slowly to the ground and Amelia disappeared into the darkness.

Amelia's view

--------------------------------

I peer down the main road. No sign of Amity... Strange... By now I've found her and she's running after me but I actually can't find her so... That means... Ahhhhh! I'm knocked onto the ground. "Tag! Your it!" Amity bounds off leaving me to pull myself up. I sweep the dirt from my skirt before shouting to Amity, "Get back here stupid! That's not even fair! Rematch now!" Amity stops and slowly turns around giving me enough time to run up and tag her back. I run past her and on to the train station before realizing that she hasn't followed...

Amity's view

-------------------------------

Someone is tapping me on the shoulder but my eyes have lolled in the back of my head and I can't breathe. "Your going blue Amity!" Its the sound of Amelia's voice but it sounds shrill and high like my mind is putting her on helium. I try to reach out a hand but I don't even have THAT much energy. I just lay on the ground unable to breath... I didn't even have asthma so it wasn't an asthma attack... My chest did feel tight and my head was hot but my skin felt bubbly... I screamed out and Amelia clasped her hands over her ears falling to her knees. It didn't sound that loud to me... She ran a few steps away, took out her phone and said, "Help! My friend has collapsed and I think she's having a spasm!" She nodded and started crying as she put down the phone. She then phoned someone else, my mum... "Mrs. Christian! Amity has collapsed! Yes of course I've phoned for an ambulance!" She paused as my mum replied, "Ok, see you soon." She came running back over and sat at my side stroking my forehead. She pulled away suddenly. "Your freezing Amity!" She was fully crying now, holding my hand, head down on my chest. My mum and an ambulance came and a doctor got out and came over. He put his hand on my head and then pulled away same as Amelia did. He put his stethoscope onto my chest... He gave me a puzzled look and I blinked at him. "That's not possible..." He stood up and backed away. He ran to the ambulance to get the bed. "Why!? What's wrong with her!?" my mum screamed. "Her heart has stopped... But she's still alive..." the doctor said. Mum stopped dead in her tracks. She looked at me in sheer terror and desperation. Well, I couldn't move so I couldn't do anything... Nothing but wait...

Amelia's view

-------------------------------

"Your going blue Amity!" was all I could say... That was all there was too say... Her head was red and spotty but the edge on her face was dark blue. She was sweating loads and her skin was bubbling... I knew this wasn't normal... Seconds later, Amity let out a ear piercing scream that made me fall to my knees. I wasn't liking this at all! So I moved away and phoned for an ambulance. "Hello? How can I help you?" said a lady.

"Help! My friend has collapsed and I think she's having a spasm!" I yelled down the receiver.

"We'll trace your call and be there as soon as possible, ok?" I nodded and started crying. Amity was my best friend! I didn't want anything to happen to her! So I called her mum as well. "Mrs. Christian! Amity has collapsed! Yes of course I've phoned for an ambulance!" She said she'd be there soon so I said ok. I ran back to Amity and started stroking her forehead. I pulled away, her forehead was so cold but with the beads of sweat running down her face, everyone would have thought different. I held onto her warmish hand and put my head onto her chest and started crying. I couldn't help it! If your best friend had collapsed and wasn't doing anything, of course you're going to cry! After what felt like forever, the ambulance and Amity's mum appeared. Out of the ambulance got a doctor and Amity's mum stood behind her car door. He rushed over to Amity and put his hand on her head. He pulled away and instead put his stethoscope on her chest. He game her a puzzled look, "That's not possible..." He rushed to the ambulance and took out the bed, "Why!? What's wrong with her!?" her mum screamed. "Her heart has stopped... But she's still alive..." He replied. Amity's mum stood still staring sadly at her daughter. All I did was stand there crying... Well, I'm only human...
