You sighed and put the uniform on. Another day to pass. You looked around your room and located your phone, swiping softly though your group chat messages. Everyone seemed so happy despite their struggles. You, however, couldn't. It took you a moment to gather the courage to go to class, but you went anyway. Grades weren't your specialty. Usually it was your friends and the constant music playing at the time that kept you going. That, and a few animals here and there. All these thoughts kept running through your mind like a jar full of bees without holes at the top. Constantly buzzing and trying to escape for a break out.
On your way to class your phone buzzed quickly. You grunted and looked at the (F/C) screen. A personal message from your dearest friend Toshinori. Unlike when he'd speak in the group chat. He hardly had time lately because he had been working hard and even harder. As much as you were decent with dealing with your quirk, he always seemed to be more equipped. Truly an inspiration in your eyes. Atleast to you. You never really told him how powerful he made you feel.
'Can we speak soon? Maybe today after school? In the back? My training starts a little after that, but I think I'll have enough time. If you're up for it L/N.'
You looked at the message for a second and thought of what to say back. Speaking face to face wasn't your best trait, but you haven't seen your buddy in quite a while.
'Sure thing, Toshi.' You sent it not really having high chances on what he wanted to go over, but you guessed it was just his hero work, or something important that he couldn't keep to himself. After all, you had been friends since you both started UA. Why would he not trust you? After awhile, he hadn't messaged back so you just went along with your day.

"May I use the restroom?" You asked your teacher. She nodded. The restroom was a lot emptier than you expected. Often there's some sort of bullying happening.
Instead of going for the full deal, you looked at yourself in the mirror. Useless, you thought. Completely dismantling yourself just by your thoughts. As the feeling of your limbs being torn off would be heaven. Swarmed and swarmed. You winced feeling the fabric of the uniform brush against your thighs. The fresh slices still hurt. Obviously, dumbass.
Huffing, you walked out as nothing had happened and just waited for the school day to end so you could crawl into your safe den once more.

Here goes nothing, you thought, walking towards the back of UA. He never responded, but why miss the chance to be jumped by a villain and end your pain right there. Might as well.
Your footsteps felt so heavy. You needed to sit down, just thinking was too much. You got to a bench under a tree and sat down.
Of course he showed up not a few minutes after.
Toshinori waved, jogged closer to you and smiled. You smiled back. As much as you adore and care for Toshi, you were genuinely hoping this would go by quickly. To be home.
He must have picked up on this because he sat beside you, clearing his throat.
"Well.. I know I'm not supposed to pry into people's lives, but I truly care about you, you know that right?"
You nodded, feeling slightly anxious on where this will lean into.
"I know you've been down for a while. At least ever since that incident happened to you." He said, slowly, quieting his voice.
" You don't have to worry about me Toshi. I'm OK I swear." You tried to reassure him knowing you hated lying to him. Ultimately, he knew that it wasn't the truth. Your body language wasn't what it used to be before.
You patted his back, but he looked even more worried.
"I know."
Toshinori explained how the least he could do was be there for you.
"I know. The way you act in the hallways and around UA isn't your usual self anymore."
You couldn't help, but feel embarrassed. Almost to near tears embarrassed. He kept going on about how he cared and loved you. As well as your other friends. After a while you felt the heaviness of your heart throw up in a full mess. At first your tears were slow and small, but the more he spoke, the more they came. You just felt so safe. All you could do was admire him, before he noticed your crying.
"Oh goodness L/N.." He stopped speaking and cupped your face with his hands. Focusing you gently. Your face flushed slightly. Being this close was new.
You couldn't even think of what to say except that you had been self-harming. This caught him off guard. He grew more worried, burying you into a deep hug and rubbing your back.
"I just get so overwhelmed easily and then I have no one to talk to because of the incident. You're always gone too.." You thought of your other friends, Shota, Hizashi, Shirakumo. You loved them deeply, but it always felt so lonely. You vented for quite a while, as he just listened and hummed softly. You didn't want to pull away, but the hug you kept him in felt awkward the more you stayed in the position. Not knowing what to do next, you slowly moved back from his arms and wiped your face with your sleeves. He just watched and kept speaking about how you shouldn't self-harm or starve yourself.
"Drinking water and eating healthy is important, L/N. Even when I feel i'm at my limit, I push past it." Toshinori said, gripping your hands tightly together with his. You looked down at his hands then back at him.
"It's okay to have limits too though. Focus on what makes you comfortable. I understand everyone has their struggles and that's completely okay. Though I won't wait for you to keep doing this. Ill push past my limits to keep you safe. If I'm going to become a hero, that's what I need to focus on! No matter how bad the circumstances. I'd rather die knowing you're okay." Toshinori exclaimed.
All you could do was smile. The first time in A/T you actually smiled. It might have been weak, but both you and him knew it was there.
"Thank you so much, Toshi." You cried softly, gripping his hand tighter again.
You hoped Toshinori would grow to help everyone as much as he can.
