Promise

After you and Loki finish the cleaning he walks you over to the couch in front of the fire place and sits you down, you sit there and watch him grab a book for the book shelf and then sit on the opposite of the couch to you. For a while you both sit there as you watch him read "what are you reading there" you say as you can tell you have interrupted him by the annoyed look falling over his face, he places his hand on the book trying not to loose his place as he looked over at you "I'm not sure some kind of old Midgardian story book" he said turning his attention back to the page he was reading. "What's a midgardian" you say moving a few inches towards him. "It's what we asgardians call the people of earth or Midgard to us" he said not lifting his head from the book, "what's it like on Asgard then" you ask inching closer to him once more, "it's very big and old but it is beautiful. Perhaps you might see it one day I'm sure mother would like to know you are alive" he said as he turned the page of his book. You sat there for a moment and just stared at him before turning onto you back and sliding you head onto his lap under the book, "you could read it to me" you say with a smile on you face as Loki slowly lifted the book and look down at you.

"What are you doing" he said with a confused and annoyed look on his face as he stared into your eyes, "well I thought you could read it to me and it's more comfortable to lay down while some one reads to you" he looked at you with impatience "if I read to you will you stop interrupting me with questions" he said raising his eyebrows at you waiting for a response. "Okay if you read to me I will stop asking questions" he sighed and brought the book back down placing his arms around you as he began to read. As you lay there staring up into his eyes you started to drift off listening to the calming sound of his deep voice, as you close your eyes you whisper to him "I'm happy you have found me again Loki" he paused and looked down at you as you slowly drifted off "can you promise me something" you ask while half asleep "of course" he replied placing his hand gently on you face caressing it "don't ever leave me again" you say. He smiled at you as he watch you fall asleep, he whispered "I promise darling" and he placed his lips against your head gently kissing you before turning back to his book continuing to read aloud as you lay there asleep in his lap.

The next morning you wake up early to the sunrise coming through the windows as you roll over and look up you see Loki asleep with his head tilted back against the couch. As you slowly sit up trying not to wake him you notice the book had fallen to the ground, you lean down to pick it up as you heard Loki wake. You turned to look at him as you sat up on the couch "morning" you said giving him a small smile as he slowly stood up and stretched "I'm sorry I fell asleep last night, you should have woken me" you said to him as you stood up and went to put the book back on the shelf. "I didn't want to wake you and you needed the rest" he said as he started to walk towards the kitchen, you followed him over and took a seat at the bench. You heard a door open and saw Bruce and tony walk in, "well good morning you two, your both up early" said tony as he walked over to the Coffee machine and turned it on. "I just wanted to get some training in before anyone else" you said looking at Loki "and what's your excuse reindeer ears" tony said pounding the now hot coffee into a cup and handing it to Bruce before pouring a cup for himself  "I couldn't sleep and please stop calling me that" he said giving tony an annoyed glance. You couldn't hold it and let out a laugh to tony calling Loki "reindeer ears, where did that come from" you say as you sat and giggled, Loki turned back to you with an angry look on his face that made you both scared and nervous. "Okay sorry I asked, I'm going to go train now" you said as you stood up and walked down the hall towards the training room, you hear tony yell back at you "don't be to long we have a meeting at 9".

After a few hours of training you headed back to your room for a shower and to get ready for the meeting. You turn the shower on and let the hot water warm up as you pick out your clothes to wear for the day as you hear a knock at the door, "I'm busy" you yell from in the bathroom as you tighten the towel wrapped around you "it's me Y/N" said loki. You walked up to the door and opened it just enough to see him standing in the hallway, "what is it Loki" you say holding to towel up and trying to not let the door open to much "tony wanted me to let you know they are starting soon" he said as he slowly looked you up and down "okay thanks" you say as you try to close the door before Loki grabs it pulling it open. He stepped into your room and stood in-front of you as he reached out and grabbed your hand "I wanted to apologise for being so rude this morning" he said looking down at your hand as he gently rubbed it with his thumb "it's okay I'm sorry for annoying you last night" you said looking up at his face "you didn't annoy me" he said as he sighed before looking up at you "I had fun and I like being close to you" he continued as he moved his hand down your arm and placed it onto your waist pulling you closer to him. "I-I had fun too" you stutter as you body pressing against his and your heart started to beat faster and faster. you could feel your towel starts to slowly slip of your body as he placed his hand on your face caressing it " I want to protect you and stay close to you" he said as he raised your chin up to meet his gaze. He pulled you closed until you could feel every inch of his cold body agains yours as he leant down closer to your lips "can you forgive me" he whispered softly running his hand down your face slowly before
placing it on you shoulder his thumb touching you neck, "always" you whisper back as he pulled you in and kisses you hard while running his hand up your back.

He pulled away and looked you in the eyes "I should probably get ready now" you said catching your towel before it fell to the floor as he stepped back towards the door. He gave you one small smile as he looked back over his shoulder at you before stepping into the hallway closing the door behind himself on the way out. You let out a big sigh and stumbled backwards to fall on your bed still wrapped in the towel "wow" you whisper to yourself as you trace over you body where his cold hands had caressed you so soft and lovingly "did that really just happen" you think to yourself as you stand up and walked over to the bathroom, "I hope I wasn't dreaming".
