Someone covers his eyes from behind.
"Who's this?",He said angrily tried to put off the person's hands.
"Jaanemerijaaneman, Baspan ka pyar mera Bhool nahi jaana re",The person started singing and take off his hands and makes faces.
Sourabh laughs at his singing and said,"Ravi, Hi bro". And did manly hug.
"Hi bro",Ravi said.
Ravi Gupta, his childhood friend. He too came back just yesterday from Ontario.
"Congratulations Bro",Sourabh congratulates Ravi. He is getting married to his love and colleague Priyal.
"Thanks bhai", Ravi said and Sourabh nodded. After some chitchat Sourabh asked him about his wedding.
"So, When is your wedding?",He asked.
"Next month and it's a destination wedding in Goa",Ravi said.
"Whom you are planning to invite from our school friends",He said and Ravi understood which friends He was talking about. He smiles.
"If you are asking me to invite someone special you just tell me I can invite her",He said casually.
"Her?",Sourabh asked acting confused.
"Yes, her I know about whom you are asking",Ravi said. He again acts confused and Ravi continued,"Don't act confuse bro, I know you more than you. You are asking about Tanu, right".
Sourabh gets shocked,"No. I was just asking about our all friends".
Ravi shakes his head. Because he know Sourabh will never accept his feelings for her.
"So, talking about Tanu. She is now a confident independent girl. You must have seen her posts",Ravi said to which Sourabh nodded and said,"Yes, she is now a successful person". He smiles.
"She is now successful and what a person want after being successful?",Ravi said and Sourabh raised his eyebrow asking him to continue.
"So, Yeah, what a person want after being successful? A life partner!",He said and paused to see his reaction. He gets alert at the word 'life partner' and his eyes were burning with rage.
"Or may be she already have someone in her life",Ravi said and his friend gets irritated.
"No, no, no, she don't have someone in her life. I am sure",Sourabh said and felt like someone snatches his someone precious and gets nervous as well as angry.
"How are you so sure?",Ravi asked and raised his eyebrow.
My..my..my heart says. "Umm..if she have someone she would have posted naa",He answered. His friend chuckles and said,"Bro she never post anything about her personal life except her pics"
"Yeah...umm i have to go now",Sourabh said and they share hugs and left to their respective places.
In his ride his mind was replaying the conversation with Ravi. A thought of having someone other than him in her life was getting on his nerves. If she really have someone, what would happen?
Flashback
Some other guy was going to propose her on valentine day. Ravi got to know and he told the same to his friend.The guy was of other section and he always liked her.
"Hi Tanu!", the boy said.
"Hi!" She said.
"Umm.. Can I ask you something?",The boy said.
"Hi Ajay!",A voice interrupted their conversation. They looked up to see Sourabh and Ravi.
"Bro, I too want to tell you something. Let's go somewhere", Sourabh give him a tight lipped smile. The boy doesn't want to go with him but he took him forcefully. Leaving a confused girl.
"What!",an irritated Ajay asked him.
"Stay away from her",Sourabh snapped and narrowed his eyes.
"Who are you to tell me?",He too snapped and glares at him.
"I am her classmate. And as her classmate it's my duty to protect her from boys like you",He said.
"So you like her", The boy chuckled and raised his eyebrow.
"Yes, I like her as a class fellow, as a good human and it's our duty to protect our class girls from boys like you",He said glaring at him. He warned the boy few more times and the boy backed off. Ravi gave him a proud smile.
"I am proud of you, son", Ravi said and he laughs. "When are you going to tell her your feelings"
"Which feelings? I don't like her that way. She is just my classmate",He answered.
Ravi said,"Tell her your feelings before time. Otherwise time will pass and you will get nothing except regret". But he gets adamant that he has no feeling for her.
Ravi was right. He should have told his feelings. At first he thought it was just an infatuation. In their last days in school, he realised he just don't like her. He loveher. But he was never able to tell her.He didn't knew how to tell her, how to initiate a talk with her. After their bid adieu she tried to talk to him or can say initiated a conversation/chat but he didn't go ahead with it properly. He didn't knew how to react. He doesn't want to look like a flirt. In all this he lost his last chances. And they never contacted with each other again.
