A soft hand leaves a gentle touch on my shoulder. I look up and wipe my tears one final time. Ugh... It's Asher...

"What's wrong Eden?" he asks me in the calm voice that bought me to like him 5 months ago. I look at him as he sits down beside me. His arm is soon wrapped around my shoulders and it doesn't take long before I flick it away. "Eden, talk to me..."

"Why should I?" I snap back.

"What happened? Why are you acting like this? Did I move things along to quickly for you?" he asks me.

"It's nothing to do with the kiss, that was the best first kiss ever. I...I...I..." I stutter.

"You what?" he asks.

"I... um... I heard what you said," I tell him.

"What, was it that upset you?" he questions. His hand comes close to my face as he wipes away the single tear that found its way out. I'm quick to slap his hand out of the way and I think he's finally starting to sense my emotions.

"You... you said you didn't like me..." I say and turn towards him and look into his loving eyes.

"Oh... I didn't mean that. I really don't want Sam knowing. In case you didn't know, he is one of those guys who starts all the gossip. What we have is like nothing I've ever experienced before. I want what we have to be special and that won't be possible if everyone knows," he explains and I find our faces in close proximity once again. Soft, calm arms wrapped around me and our lips locked in the centre. I really need to learn to trust him, he scared me for a second but I kind of do agree. What we have is special and I don't want everyone knowing either. I just over reacted a bit but I think I can trust Asher. What he said makes sense now and I really should've asked before over reacting like that. The kiss comes to an end as we slowly pull away from each other.

"You know Asher, thanks and I agree. This wouldn't be as special if everyone knew, but just know it may take a while for me to fully trust you but it hopefully won't be too long because yeah... I'll tell you another time," I say.

"What is it?" he asks me politely.

"It's too soon, you'll have to wait and see but don't worry, it will be soon," I answer.

"Ok, but just don't keep me waiting too long," he says with a wide smile spread across his face.

"Not in a relationship ay," a quiet voice appears from no where. It's Sam.

"No, we are just friends," Asher snaps back quickly.

"Just friends," I add.

"Whatever you say," Sam says and walks away from us. Asher and I walk around the corner of the library so that we are hidden from Sam's sight. The pair of us collapse on the group in laughter so that I am on my back and Asher is on his stomach next to me. He leans over and gives me a quick peck on the lips. Ah... this has got to be the best and worst day smashed into one. Asher's shadow is soon covering my eyes as he stands up. I grab his hand and he helps lift me up.
