Sakura hunched over the toilet seat, Kakashi holding her long bubblegum locks as she coughed and spluttered.

Once the Pinkette was done, Kakashi brought her into his arms, the girl placed in his warm embrace.

He played with some of her pink locks in between his fingers.

Looking back over to the toilet, he realised one thing,

Hanahaki Disease

Yes, Sakura Haruno, the only female member of team 7, had Hanahaki Disease.

You may be wondering, what is Hanahaki.

Hanahaki is a disease when you have unrequited love, flowers begin to slowly grow inside of your body, making it hard to breathe.

The flowers depending on your lovers favorite kind of flower.

The more they look to blooming, the closer you are to death.

There is only one way to save her life.

To get the surgery, the flowers would get removed from her lungs, and she'd be fine.

However,

After the surgery, you lose your ability to show emotion, including love.

Sakura refused the surgery, for she knew she would die anyways.

Sakura Haruno was in love with an Avenger, the last of their clan, Sasuke Uchiha.

Her toilet was filled to the brim with blue Gladiolus, Sasuke's favorite flower. (idk his favorite color, I just thought with the amount of blue he wore as a genin he liked it. I looked up Sasuke's favorite flower and it said Gladiolus idk if it's canon but let's continue)

Kakashi thought it was unfair that his female student had to live through the pain of unrequited love, someone she'd love forever didn't even spare her a glance or acknowledged her.

"Annoying."

Sakura shivered, remembering when he called her that, when she insulted Naruto.

Of course, she thought about it and apologised immediately and everything was back to normal.

Kakashi looked down at the Pinkette, "Are you sure you don't want to get the surgery, Sakura...?"

Sakura looked up at her sensei with a weak smile, "I'm sure, Kakashi-Sensei..." She paused, "I'd rather die than lose my emotions for my friends and family, Sasuke-Kun included..."

Kakashi sighed, knowing there's no way to change her mind.

He just hopes that she wouldn't have to suffer any longer.

...

...

...

Maybe he doesn't need to wish that.

There stood Kakashi, Naruto and Sasuke in front of Sakura's home.

Doctors rushed in and out of the house, bringing Sakura out on a stretcher.

Naruto panicked, Sasuke felt something he's never felt in a long time...fear.

Fear for Sakura's life.

The doctors shook their heads and placed a blanket over Sakura's body.

Naruto's legs felt like jelly, as his knees gave out and he fell to the ground, sobbing loudly and cursing everything for taking away everything he loves, fists clenched as he hit the ground, hard.

Sasuke couldn't take it, he ran into the house determined to find what killed the Pinkette.

Kakashi watched as the Uchiha survivor ran into the Pinkette's home, with a crinkled eye, watching his back with a sad smile.

Sasuke checked all of the rooms, Sakura's parents were away from the village so they wouldn't even know the death of their poor daughter.

He finally checked the last room in the house, the bathroom.

Using his elbow, he shoved the door open.

He noticed something in the toilet...

Flowers, so many looking as if it was a bouquet.

But the fact that the flowers were his favorite kind...

Gladiolus flowers.

He thought that the Hanahaki Disease was a stupid myth, he never believed it was real, or the fact that it would get to his female teammate.

His knees gave out, he fell to the floor with a thunk.

It was all his fault.

His mind was so focused on revenge to avenge his family, he never noticed how much pain she was in.

The flowers even proved that she loved him deeply.

For the second time in his life, the Uchiha Survivor cried.

The first time for his family his brother brutally murdered.

And the second time for Sakura Haruno, his female teammate that he killed unintentionally.
