1345, the king watches over his kingdom. The people live safely within the walls. But on that night, the king is informed his love was slayed at the hands of a mortal.
Within minutes, his entire army was rallied. For years mortals and guardians had live in harmony, but this was to far. The mortals knew they were coming, with the bets placed and weapons at the ready the two armies stood their ground.
The king raised his sword and his army charged fourth. As the two armies clashed, the king would take to the skies. His power charged up high, hurling himself towards the ground, half of the mortals army was defeated. Though this wasn't over, the kings army had be enilated. From the smoke came fourth the mortals leader, a warlord known only as Jack.
The king had no power to fight back, he knelt fourth and was finished by Jack. The mortals cheered, they thought they won but it wasn't over yet. In a flash of light, a figure stepped forward. The mortals hesitated, this was midnight, the kings son.
Jack went to shoot but his hand was badly injured by a sword strike, their army fleed. Picking up his fathers helmet, midnight swore on his family's grave the mortals will fall under his rule.
