hello my loves! welcome (or welcome back) to OTIAC!

this is the second draft of arkoverse book three! if you've read this story before (in which case hi hello welcome back to the twilight zone i hope you're safe and healthy and feeling alright), you haven't. jk, all i mean is that this is going to be the better version, with some adjustments and additional chapters. the plot will remain generally the same. i haven't decided to make any drastic storyline changes, i just wanted to make it cooler and less of a disaster (in terms of the way i wrote it. not the... you know. the ending. sorry). if you're looking for the first draft, though, no worries! you can find the whole thing up for public viewing here: https://bit.ly/3y7O6s2

BUT if this is your first time EVER to read anything from the arkoverse, you should know this fictional world is composed of six books. this book is a prequel. while, theoretically, it could definitely be read as a standalone story, there might be some themes/subplots/characters written in such a way that could be better appreciated by giving some of the other books a shot first. here is a guide for my personally recommended arkoverse reading order:

1. Arko Cade & The Magic Hunter (ongoing)
2. Asher & Eliza (completed)
3. Of Things I Am Certain (completed first draft, ongoing second draft) *YOU ARE HERE! hello!
4. The Unsung (anthology series of short stories)
5. The Wilde Ones (anthology series of short stories)
6. To Libby, With Love... (ongoing)

truthfully though, you may pick up at any point you wish. i've done my best to make each of the stories carry their own weight, with their own integrity, and i hope i've done so, even somewhat.

thank you for reading this at all, if you have or will. you're more than welcome to stay and join our little book club, our family of arkhoes! we've got insomnia and schoolwork and lots of heartache, but lots of love too!
