The sky was always Soraru's favorite "toy".Ever since he was a child, Soraru adored the sky. Unlike other kids near his age, Soraru was calm, patient and he always acted much more mature than his age.
For Soraru, there's just something he can't quite point out about his weird taste, he just simply likes the sky. Everytime he looks at the sky, watching the movements of the white, fluffy clouds, looking at the way the sun rises up and falls down at the end of the day just fills him with comfort and puts his mind at ease.
Today was one of Soraru's rare days off, and all he wanted to do was to relax. Despite not going outside at all for almost a week, he has been working nonstop and trying to keep up with the deadline. Soraru took a breather and thought about what he wanted to do today.
Even though there was a summer festival near his house, he wanted to spend the day for this weird hobby of his at the beach, since it's one of the best places to watch the sunset. Soraru didn't like being in the crowd in the first place so he didn't bother thinking about joining the festival.
After preparing himself, Soraru took the last train to his destination for the day.
Taking a short walk from the station to the beach, Soraru whistled. It was a familiar, nostalgic sounding melody, yet it was also a strange melody he had never heard of before.
Reaching the beach, Soraru could feel a soft wind running through his hair. The already-messy hair of his was getting messier. Around Soraru's neck, some of his curls were standing out, it was tickling him.
"Maybe I'll get a haircut tomorrow..." - Soraru mumbled to himself.
Ignoring that, Soraru sits down on the soft, white sand. He decided to wear his favourite T-shirt today with a cardigan outside, since this morning was quite windy. Soraru brought a bottle of his homemade black tea to enjoy the view better. It's like a one person picnic, he thought to himself.
Feeling the breezy wind on his skin, Soraru began to watch the sky. The sunset was glorious, blazing with a gorgeous red and orange. Even though it was producing no warmth, Soraru could feel the warmth in his body, a sensation of moderate heat and the feeling of butterflies in his stomach.
"Haaah" As the sun slowly became one with the sea in front of him, Soraru took a sip of his delicious homemade black tea, putting his mind at ease. Soraru felt relaxed, especially after all the hard work he had been doing this week. He felt glad that he could still relax like this sometimes.
Soraru thinks this scenery was good for today, it was more than enough for him, this beautiful scenario. For Soraru, the beach is one of the places to go to get away from all troubles, the one place where he could sit forever, and never get tired of just staring into the sky. A place where nothing matters but what is in that little moment.
Soraru looked at his watch. It's a bit later than he expected but there's still quite the time to catch the last train back home. Standing up, he dusted some of the sand on his clothes. He carefully picked up his stuff and turned his back to the sea, as a small glimpse of light caught his eye.
Didn't the sun just set? Soraru thought, feeling dumbfounded.
When his curiosity got the better of him, Soraru turned around.
It was the most marvelous scene he's ever seen, and it just took Soraru's breath away from him.
In front of him, there stood a albino wearing a white furisode, with pink and blue hydrangeas at the end of the sleeves. His knees dipped under the sea water. The young man was tall, yet he was also small and fragile like glass. His hair, a beautiful white with a blue kanzashi on it, blowing softly as a breezy wind flew by. Maybe it was because of the sky, but his white hair looked a bit like silver to Soraru.
"Still, he would stand out from the crowd no matter which color it was of the two" - was something random Soraru thought to himself.
The blue kanzashi on his hair had quite the detailed design, it had some sparkling white gems on the silver string. Each one of them looked like they were twinkling, like little rain drops on his soft white hair. There were also blue and pink hydrangeas around it.
What caught Soraru's attention the most was his eyes.
His eyes were like rubies, twinkled in the evening light. The color of his eyes were unusual, yet it was also very dazzling. There were tears running down his rosy cheeks, he was crying but no sound was made. Soraru felt the urge to wipe his tears off but he stood still, it's more like he couldn't move.
It was captivating, this scene- no, this person in front of him.
Soraru had only stood still for about 1 minutes or even less, yet it felt like he had been staring at this albino for an hour. He knew that it was rude to stare at someone for too long, but he just couldn't look away.
Suddenly, their eyes met and Soraru could feel something running down his spine.
Soraru felt like his heart was tingling, as if he was shocked by some kind of electricity. That feeling where something was squeezing tightly around his chest, and he couldn't point out what it was. This was a first time for Soraru.
His heart was pounding like the wind and he didn't know why, but at this moment, all Soraru could think of was how beautiful this person is.
He truly was beautiful.
But then again, he was crying and didn't look well. A strong yet strange feeling of protection rises as Soraru approaches the man.
"...Hey, you-"
Before Soraru could say anything else, he could feel a drop of the cold, salty sea water splashed onto his face.
The man has fallen into the sea.
