He was in my class, there, talking to his friends happily. I don't know how my seat was taken but all I knew was we knew each other, just by the name, like how classmates usually do.

The teacher told us to continue our assignment she gave us. It was a Mandarin essay homework, we choose three out of several essays in a book and copy them out. Then, we will need to search around the classroom for a printed copy of the essay we had chose to copy. Once we find one, we can let the teacher grade us. This assignment proceeds for a week, and today is the last day for the assignment.

I searched around the classroom and found three printed copies randomly, two of them were the same essays I had copied from the book, and that was more than enough.

All my classmates were busy finding the hidden copies, while I, was busy finding a pen or pencil to write my name on the copy I found. My seat seemed to be taken by someone, and as a person who didn't want to be a bother, I let them be. Without notice, i realized two seats beside where I was standing were empty, but bags were there, I knew who sat there. Yuzuru and his friend that skips every class but leaves his bags there, occupying the empty seat. I saw Yuzuru talking to his friends happily not far from his seat.

I went to tap his shoulder, he turned back and looked at me with shock, as if I was a girl that had never talked to him before, which I was. I asked him if I could borrow his pencil, he nodded with a smile. I thanked him and went to his seat.
I sat down and started to stare at the table, it was neatly stacked with books, and the pencil case was just above the books. I blushed when I reach for the case, realizing what I was doing. I had never wanted to talk to anyone in the class, not even the girls, I was a shy girl, thinking that talking with people is a really bad idea. But now, the shy girl, is sitting on a guys seat and using his pencil.

Not too long after, he walked towards me. I looked at him and moved to the seat beside his, he smiled and sat down.
I started flipping my book and stare at it, dumbfounded, there were only two essays there. I was at the edge of crying. My grades were everything for me, that's why I was brave enough to tap Yuzuru at the shoulder, wanting to borrow his pencil. But now, the third essay is missing. I flipped the pages back and forth, with the force of anger and being terrified.
He looked at me and glanced at my book, without saying anything, he took out the book that contains the several essays and passed it to me. I stopped my actions and looked at him.

"Just quickly copy a short one, you already have a printed copy, just copy a short one and give it to the teacher." He said, ending with a shrug.
I stared at the book he was still holding, thinking what to do. He sighed lightly and started flipping the pages, he stopped at a page and put it between the two tables and tap at a corner of the page.
"This is one of the shortest, it's not too long nor too short, I guess you can finish this during recess."
I looked at the essay and nodded. Just at the moment I started to write, the pencil ran out of lead. He grabbed his pencil case and put it on my table, I was shocked, since I was planning to keep trying until some lead comes out. I looked at him, he just smiled and took out another pencil and exchanged it with the one I was holding.

I thanked him and started writing. Halfway through, I remembered something, I turned my head and looked at him, wanting to say something but silenced when i saw his expression. His was showing a hurtful face, looking down, while his right hand was at his stomach. I had never seen him like this, never right in front of me, at least. I looked around, no one was in the classroom, it was recess.
"Are you alright?" I asked worriedly. He rose his head and looked at me, shocked. But then gave me a bitter smile.
"Yeah, I'm fine. It's just a stomach ache." He sat straight, left elbow on the table and leaned his head on his hand, looking at me straight into the eye.
"Yeah, okay." I turned and looked down, smiling shyly. "Oh yeah..." I remembered what I was gonna say to him.
"Mhm?" He looked at me curiously.
" Good luck."
"What?" He looked shocked.
"Your short program today, aren't you having a competition today? In the hall, I mean." I started to pick up the pencil, wanting to continue copying.
"Oh, yeah. Thanks." He smiled. "Wait, OH NO!" He stood up quickly, grabbing the bag hanging on his chair. "I need to change, sorry. Wait, I mean, thanks for reminding me. Bye!" And ran out of the classroom.
I laughed at the normally calm but currently nearly freaking out Yuzuru that just ran outside.
