Jon was sitting alone on the park bench overlooking the pond, since Damian had disappeared around a year ago he had an empty feeling on the inside and on special holidays or occasions he came back to the place where they had their first kiss. He was sitting there today to wish Damian a happy birthday and every time he came he hoped Damian would come back but he never does.

"Happy Birthday Dami. I'm so sorry that I didn't say it back" Jon sighed

"Happy, What's happy about my birthday and you don't seem to happy and you should have" A voice stated

"Dami?" Jon questioned as he sat beside Jon

"Nope, not at all" Damian replied

"Then who are you?" Jon questioned

"Your subconscious you dope" Damian replied

"Ohh why are you only appearing now, I could have done with you when Dami went missing" Jon stated

"Hey you look like a fool, talking to thin air" Damian replied

"You always said I looked like a fool no matter what" Jon sighed

"Okay I've had it with you, you are going to stop being depressed and blaming yourself for what happened. It wasn't your fault, I ran off to face Slade and his men. I knew there was a bomb in that building and I knew I had time to get out but my ego finally got to me" Damian replied

"I know but..." Jon began

"Hey bro, talking to yourself again?" Lara asked landing where Damian had been

"No, what are you doing here?" Jon questioned

"Whenever you go missing you are usually here, Mom and Dad want you at home because , actually I'm not telling you why I'll leave it a surprise" Lara exclaimed

"Okay let's go then" Jon replied

The two Kent kids began walking until they were in a private area and took off and flew home. When Jon arrived home he found his grandparents were at their house which was the surprise.

Gotham City The Iceberg Lounge 17:45
The Penguin was holding an auction in the Lounge where he was selling off black market weaponry. He was selling to other villains but most had just sent their goons to it in case Batman turned up, but Deathstroke went and he believed Batman wouldn't turn up because since Robin disappeared Batman had been see more irregularly then usual. The auction had been underway for over an hour when Dick arrived on the roof with Jason.

"Why aren't we going in?" Jason asked

"We are waiting for Tim and Helena" Dick replied

"You're really taking to this whole being in charge thing" Jason said

"Someone had too" Dick stated

"Where are Tim and Helena anyway" Jason questioned

"Helena was at home and Tim was with Steph, Bernard, Kon and Bart" Dick replied

"Would Steph not come as well then" Jason asked

"No she said she had something to do" Dick answered

"Hey guys" Tim exclaimed as he and Helena glided down

"So who's down there?" Helena asked

"Penguin, other villains goons, his own and Slade along with two assassins" Dick replied

"I'm going to kill him" Jason stated

"No one is killing anyone" Dick said

"As much as Damian and I didn't get along he needs to get what's coming to him" Tim exclaimed

"We are bringing them all in" Cass stated emerging from the shadows

"I thought you would have sided with us" Jason exclaimed

"Killing him isn't an option" Cass stated

The Batfamily entered the Lounge discreetly and stated that way until Dick jumped out of a floor grate and onto Penguin

"Ozzie you're breaking my heart, I thought we had an agreement" Dick said

"Nightwing you're out gunned you came alone and you'll die" Penguin squawked

"Oh Ozzie I'm not alone" Dick smirked

As Dick said that the others jumped out from their hiding places. They began fighting the goons there but before anyone got near Slade he and his assassins had escaped and left the building without a trace. The fight continued for another hour and they began tying the goons up.

"Ozzie, will you keep your promise this time. We will have to get counselling if you break it again" Dick exclaimed as the others continued on trying not to laugh

"Dick stop flirting with the criminals, how would Kori, Mar'i and Jake all feel if they found out" Babs joked

"We better be going, the pigs are on their way" Jason announced

"Do you have to call them that?" Babs asked

"Yes, yes I do" Jason laughed

They all grappled up through the skylight as the GCPD came through the doors and all of them headed back to the cave after an alert went out to all of them. When they arrived Steph, Duke, Barbara, Harper, Kate and Selina were all at the Batcomputer.

"What's up?" Tim asked

"Where's Bruce" Dick questioned

"Upstairs with Titus and Ace" Selina replied

"He's refusing to come back down, he says he's done and he's had enough" Harper stated

"It's taken him a year to decide that" Jason stated

"Aren't we supposed to be happy he's finished, this constant fight against crime it isn't good for anyone" Helena exclaimed

"No it's not and that's why I wanted you all here, Bruce and I are leaving" Selina said

"Leaving this life?" Steph questioned

"No Gotham" Selina replied

"Mom?" Helena asked

"We will still be in contact, it's just myself and Alfred think it would be best to get away, either for a few months or permanently" Selina replied

"Well then we better start picking up the slack around here" Duke said nervously laughing

"When are you going?" Kate asked

"Next Month, there is still a few bits that need to be tied up" Selina replied

"Well then, family hug" Dick said

"Dick I hate you" Jason stated

"So who's going to be Batman?" Duke asked

"Only one person wanted to be and he's gone" Helena replied

"We don't know that, Jay died and came back and we didn't find the body" Tim stated

"He's gone and he's not coming back as much as I want my brother back he isn't coming back" Helena exclaimed

The family stood around for a while before going and getting out of their suits and heading either up to the Manor or leaving and heading to their own homes. Dick had decided to split time between Gotham and Blüdhaven to keep an eye on Bruce and on Gotham.
