*Hiccups P.O.V*
I fixed my gloves, watching as Toothless ate fish from the pond in the back of the castle. I smiled at Toothless and then at the sunlight that shone in the very high anf giant tree. It is peaceful today considering Jack decided to stay up in the room and talk to Alex and the queen didn't need us right now because they haven't attacked yet. So it was basically my alone time for right now and I absolutely adore it. The silence and the giant birds that chirped loudly sounded like heaven to me.
"So what should we do today buddy? Go for a walk? Maybe a fly or just stare at each other awkwardly." I said. Toothless popped his head up from out of the pool, a little moss hanging from his mouth and wagged his butt at me as he ran and hopped over to me. I chuckle and grab his snout, ripping the moss out. Toothless rubbed his head against my stomach before jumping back over to the pond. I sighed. And stared up at the sun but the wind started to blow harder, causing my hair to move into my face. I glanced up seeing a hawk pass by. The hawk looked down seeing me and then something dropped from him. I closed my eyes and brought my hands up to block it from seeing the sun anymore. Something landed in front of me and I uncovered them to see Pitch in front of me.
"Why are you hiding your face?" He asked.
Panick swelled up in my stomach and I searched around seeing it was just us and toothless.
"What are you doing here?!" I shouted, shoving him away from the wide opened courtyard.
"Hiccup! Hey Queen Tara wants to talk to us!" I heard Jack's voice call out.
"Seems your lover wants you," he said.
"What are you doing here? You have to leave!" I said shoving him. "Or just hide in the bu-" he pulled me into the tall grass and covered my mouth. I tried to struggle but he held my waist and mouth tightly. I saw Jack pass the corner stopped at Toothless. He patted his head and asked him where I was but toothless was just as lost as he was.
"Well if you see him toothless bite him in the butt." I heard Jack say before he disappeared over the fountain.
Pitch released me so I flew forward on my hands and knees. "Your boyfriend is very needy," he said calmly.
He was starting to get on my nerves so I got up and glared at him. "What do you want, Pitch," I asked.
He smirked. "I came to tell you that Mandrake is planning an attack on this palace tomorrow at dawn," he said.
I lifted a brow. "He is?" I looked at him suspiciously. "Why are you telling me this?" I asked. "I thought you hated me."
He chuckled. "Oh, believe me, I do but I believe since I know the secret that you know... Which by the way she is fine." He paused expecting a reaction out of me, but snorted to continue. "I think joining secret forces against Mandrake won't be such a bad idea," he said.
I wanted to argue to him but he had a point. "I won't join you, but I will take your words." I said. "But that doesn't make everything you did to Jack and I to go away, and also the fact that she joined you is none of my business, I just don't want Jack to know anything about it. He's been in the dark for almost 300 Years so you better not say anything," I say.
He chuckled. "Alright, I won't say anything about it to Jack as long as you keep this little secret pow wow between us. I will tell you everything, so that means you better be alert, you are not allowed to tell them about the attacks and you are not allowed to tell anyone about me, understand?" He asked.
I sighed. "Understood," I said.
He raised a hand out to me and ran his other one through his hair. "Shake on it, call it making a deal with the devil."
It was a good offer, being able to know Mandrakes plans before hand and keeping the secret safe was not that bad. I sighed and lifted my hands, grasping his. "The deal with the devil has been made, now go!" I said.
He nodded. "Gladly, I will send a nightmare to your room to warn you of anytime I need to talk to you." He said.
"Fine by me," I said. He turned and got onto the hawk that had landed. He saluted and rose up into the sky. I watched as he took off and looked down to see some black sand left on my hand. I have betrayed Jack. This is far beyond my zone. I was already hiding a secret about her and now I am hiding another. This is just not my day. But at least I know, that I will be ready for whatever Mandrake throws at us. I made a strong fist over the sand and stared up at the sky.
"I am so screwed," I whisper to myself before turning away, dropping the sand in the dirt and walking up the hill. Not thinking about that, but the fact that I have to ready myself for Mandrake. This is only the beginning.
