"Professor what if we don't have any friends we can call on to help us?"

The tall lanky man in the front of the room roamed his eyes until they were on you. He had a small smile on his face and you were glad that the question didn't seem as dumb as you originally thought it was. Luckily, it was just you and a few handful of students left.

"Then I guess this is a good time for you to make some new friends. I doubt you'll have trouble making any, y/n."

Though you knew he was being kind you couldn't help but feel....weird? This far in college you should have friends. Well you did but they weren't here anymore. You gave the professor a smile in return and sulked your way out of the classroom. Your sulking was short lived when you remembered everything you had to do today.

The next thing on your list was to meet your new dorm-mate. You had requested a new one to try and help move on from your last one. In the end you just moved into a new dorm and were told to expect your new dorm-mate in the following week. You briefly recalled the memory of you apologizing relentlessly to the dormitory office for all the trouble you were causing.

You struggled to take the keys out of your bag. You groaned in frustration. The keys didn't seem to want to cooperate today. When you finally got in your dorm you were beyond frustrated and to make things worse as soon as you took off your shoes you stubbed your toe.

In your fit of annoyance you didn't hear the door opening. You turned around, hopping on one foot, to come face to face with a literal goddess. She held an amused expression on her face as she leaned against the doorframe.

"Oh, hello," you stuttered slightly and it only added to your annoyance. 'Today is not the day' you scolded yourself. Her duffel bag hung off one shoulder while her normal bag was on the other. You let go of your throbbing foot. "My name's y/n. It's nice to meet you."

"Mikasa," she greeted back. She looked around the room. "You must've made a transfer as well." You quirked up a brow. "You're not a college transfer?" She looked around the room again. You made a noise in realization. You didn't bother to hang anything up yet and the small bookshelf you had managed to get in here barely had anything on it.

"No, I just wanted to switch dorms." Memories of your old dorm clouded your mind. "I actually have to go," you rushed out.

"Where are you going?" You halted while putting back on your shoes. You didn't think that she would question you trying to get away.

"I have to leave campus to pick up an order." Her smile widened. You tried to gouge what was going on through her head. "Do you," you stuttered again. Mentally, you banged your head against a wall until your awkwardness disappeared. "Do you want to come with me? I mean I understand if you just want time by yourself to get settled in or-"

"I would love to join you." She set her bag on the bed across from yours. You noted that you would have to finally rearrange the room. She took some money from one of her bag pockets and put it in her back pocket. She dug out her phone from the side pocket and then turned to me. "Do you care if we stop by the cafeteria? I'm starving."

"Yeah, no problem." You were amazed at how well things between the two of you were going. Maybe the professor had been right earlier. You locked the door behind you as you started your way towards the cafeteria.

"I really like your outfit," you say, trying to keep the energy from the room going. She wore black tech pants with chains going from the front and back pockets. Her shoes reminded you of combat boots and she wore a tight black crop top. Her abs were prominent and you could tell she worked on her arms quite a bit. Her hair was shoulder length and framed her face really well and the black bucket hat really pulled the whole look together.
