Chapter Text

Mina always knew how to hold her liquor, it took her a while before she began to feel any sort of buzz. She lounged at the back, in the bar, fiddling with one of the empty shot glasses scattered on the counter. Scenes of what went down in the kitchen with Nayeon and the maknaes kept replaying in her head.

Maybe it was the liquor, but she wanted to confront Nayeon and ask her what the hell is going on with her. What's with the bandaged hand and the baseless claims? Obviously, something is bothering the girl, stressing her out. You'd be an idiot not to notice her changes in behavior. Like the liquor now settling in her liver, it slowly ate away at her. She was so tuned in to Nayeon that it felt like it was her issue as well.

It's not your place, Myoui, back off. Mina sighed while internally battling with herself.

The bartender brought her another round of tequila shots along with a tray of lime wedges and salt.

"Good luck," the bartender winced at Mina's third round of liquor.

"Thanks," she responded. Anyway, time to forget.

She poured some salt in the area between her thumb and forefinger as she held a wedge of lime in the same hand. Did she really think I slept with Sana? Or was that an excuse for something else? Was she jealous of me? Did she like Sana? What is really bothering her? So much to the point that she would spew random nonsense? Why does she always make me lose my mind over her? Always have me wondering what the hell is going through her mind. I'm so done. She sighed as she picked up the shot glass and raised her eyebrows. Cheers, I guess. Her tongue salivated in anticipation. She Licked all the salt off of her hand, downed the shot of tequila and bit into the wedge of lime, cutting the burn of the hard liquor.

She softly grunted as she felt that familiar fire easing down her throat. It took her back to the very first time she ever had a drink with her father. What a simpler time.

"Mina, what the fuck are you doing here?" Jeongyeon interrupted her moment once again.

Mina spun around to see Jeongyeon, Momo and Tzuyu shocked to see her, all waiting for a response.

"Uhh, it's a public Bar & Grill?" Mina pointed to the restaurant's sign above them. "Plus, it's Taco Tuesday."

"It's 2:30 p.m. in the afternoon, I mean, what are you doing taking shots of tequila right now," Jeongyeon restated.

Tzuyu glanced at the empty glasses in front of her, "Mina-unnie, how many have you had?"

Mina only shrugged before preparing her next shot. She wasn't really interested in having a conversation with anyone right now.

"Three rounds?" Jeongyeon gasped as she counted the trays and glasses, "Six shots."

"Mina-yah, what the hell?," Momo frowned, "Is this because of what happened between you and Nayeonie in the kitchen earlier?"

"Wait, what happened in the kitchen earlier?" Tzuyu asked curiously.

Mina ignored them all as she repeated her tequila shot process, sucking hard on the slice of lime, grunting in satisfaction.
