Matthew's POV
"Babe, you ready?" Christina asks me, walking into the room. I smile at her walking up to her. She fixes my tie and I put my hands on her waist, feeling up on this my beautiful girls red dress. She smiles back at me. We walk to the front door, putting on shoes and making sure we're ready. I grab my keys and walk out the door with Christina. The both of us get to the car Christina randomly stops and I look at her wondering what's wrong. Everything went too quickly, about four shots were heard. I see Christina collapse on the pavement. I run over to her quickly. She was bleeding out and it seemed like no one was around. Her hand travels to one of the wounds, then she holds it up to her face and realizes she's bleeding. She laughs softly, coughing up blood in the process. "Don't cry baby...shh...I wish that you could've met them..." she says, spitting out blood to the side. "What do you mean Chris?" She slowly blinks, taking my hand and placing it on her stomach. I completely understood. Her breath was starting to shorten and I couldn't find my phone. She closes her eyes.
I wake up in a cold sweat, panting heavily. My eyes quickly scanned the room. I look at my phone and see how many missed calls along with how many unread messages I had. I call Christina. "WHERE ARE YOU?! YOU DIDN'T ANSWER AND- are you groaning at me?" I walk out of my room and to the bathroom. I run the shower water. For some very odd reason, I hear her stop yelling. "Just get your ass to work. Ahem." I chuckle and she sighs lightly, "Agent, you went quiet is there a problem?" She clears her throat and says, "just shower and get dressed." I put her on speaker while I got ready for my shower and entered the shower. I hear her start talking to a guy, he seemed pretty friendly. "Who's that?" I questioned and I then hear heels clicking. "Doctor Ashmen." I roll my eyes. That guy, god I hate him. "What are you wearing?" I let the water run through my hair. "Aleena got me get all dressed up, so heels and a dress." She responds grimly.
At work
Christina's POV
It's been 10 minutes since I ended the call with Matt, he's still not here. He told me he'd be here soon. I've been waiting at the entrance since I got away from Dr. Ashmen. God that guy is annoying. I look at my phone worriedly, expecting a call from him. Maybe I'm overreacting. I probably am. But I'm still worried. I pull up my text messages and text Aleena to see how she's doing. She says she's doing fine, and so is Greyson. That gives me a slight sense of calm knowing that they're alright. But where is Matt? I waited another 5 minutes, then I see his black Lotus Evora GT430 pull up. This rich motherfucker. I strut to the car as he opens the door, getting out. "Why did you take so long?" I say, crossing my arms. "I'm sorry-" he begins, chuckling. He looks 'up' at me, more at my face. Then, looks at my dress. He turns pale.
Aleena's POV
I put my phone down after texting Christina. After talking about Greyson, I wonder if he's bored. I look at the couch to see that Greyson was no longer sitting there. I put my phone down and look around the first floor of the house, he wasn't there. I begin to go up the stairs calling Greyson's name. Where did he go? When I walk into his room and see he's not there, I begin to worry. I search the whole house, I walk downstairs. I started to feel anxious. I realize the backdoor is unlocked. I ran over and looked around to see if he was out there. He was sitting there on the grass, playing with his fingers. I walk over and sit next to him, crossing my legs just like him. "Aleena." He bluntly says and I look at him. "Are you scared of me?" He avoids eye contact with me. "Don't be silly Greyson, of course not." He sighs, I keep looking at him. "Stay away. I don't want to hurt you." I look at him confused and he mumbles under his breath. "Speak up." I state."I don't want you and Christina's blood on my hands. I don't want you to be like my other caregivers. I'm afraid...I'm afraid that I might hurt you." My eyes widen, I never knew he felt...felt like that. "I'm dangerous, why the hell would you try and get close." I couldn't find the words. "You don't even need to speak, just stay away." He gets up and tries to walk away. I grab his hand and he turns around, looking at me. I quickly get up and hug him. "Stop saying you're going to hurt us. We trust you." He hesitates with hugging me back but he does. "We're here for you," I state and he sighs softly. "Aleena..." I shake my head and he doesn't say anything. "Stop."
