The moons reflection in the puddles of water was everywhere. Ometa could hear dogs howling  in the distance. Men were screaming and yelling in the dark. Ometa was running as fast as she could. The puddles splashing underneath her bare feet.

The men were trying to find her, she held a cat in her arms, it was not as it seemed to be. That's why she was found out by the men. The trees and ferns were dead in this forest, only one single tree held life. She could hear the men getting closer, she started running faster. She could she the huge tree up ahead, she finally made it and suddenly felt a pain in her chest.

She gasped and blue wisps came out of her mouth and eyes and floated up. It was a godly creature she had been protecting. "Go now, before it's to late" the Ometa spoke. "I've taken you this far now hide." The creature looked at her with sad eyes and went into the tree, flowers blooming and leaves growing.

Ometa bent down and set down her cat on the soil. "Leave before they find us, I love you and we will meet again." The cat rubbed on her hand then looked at her and ran into the dead brush. Ometa was alone, tears streaming down her face she knew what would happen to her. The men were getting closer.

She walked closer to the men so the tree was out of sight, finally they came. The dogs were howling and barking while the men grabbed her and chained her arms and legs. They put her down on her knees.

She could hear a horse coming slowly towards them. She was facing the other way and could only hear. A big thump hitting the ground rang, she could tell it was their leader. She suddenly heard sharp metal, she knew what was going to happen.

The man walked closer and closer then stopped, Ometa could feel him behind her. A sad smile spread across her face and she closed her eyes. And just as the sword went through her back she whispered something.

"It was an honor serving you Mavka"
