"Oh, good mood ata si Madam ngayon, ah?" Prima greeted me with her sarcastic remark. I just rolled my eyes.
"Do you guys want some coffee?" I asked, sitting on my swivel chair. Nagkatinginan ang apat kaya bahagya akong natawa. "Okay, ako na lang." I said while browsing on the food delivery app on my phone.
"Ako, gusto kong macchiato!" walang-hiyang sabi ni Ria na nagtaas pa ng kamay.
"Mocha latte," Belle said with a grin.
"3-in-1 na lang," napataas ang kilay ko sa sinabi ni Prima. She grinned and shook her head, "'Wag, joke lang 'yon. Masyadong lugi. Cappuccino na lang." she added. We all looked at Charles, sa aming lima ay siya ang pinakamahiyain. He just simply shook his head.
"C'mon, my treat." I insisted, pero umiling siya.
"Black coffee na lang." he said,
"Taray, nahiya kay Madam!Pagdating sa amin napaka-buraot!" Belle said. Napailing na lang ako at tinake note ang orders nila. I ordered Iced coffee na lang for me at chineck-out na 'yon. Maya-maya ay may pumasok na, I thought it's the rider but to my surprise...
"Oh. My. Gee." Rinig kong bulong ni Ria na na-starstruck sa pumasok.
"Nakikita ko lang siya dati sa TV at sa magazines tapos heto na siya ngayon." Prima whispered.
The lady who went in, looked at us, but her gaze lingered on me.
"Shanice," I felt the eyes of my workmates go on me. I stood up to greet Tita Xyle.
"Good morning po, Ma'am." I greeted formally because we're in our work. She smiled and gave me a kiss on the cheek, inilapag niya ang dalawang boxes ng pizza sa table.
"Good morning, Attorneys." She smiled. Agad na tumayo si Prima at napakagat na lang ako sa labi sa kahihiyan nang lumapit ito kay Tita Xyle at inilabas ang phone.
"Ma'am, I know that I will be so informal po for asking you this, pero pwede po ba tayo mag-picture? Kahit mamaya na po pagkatapos." She asked, Tita Xyle smiled at her.
"Yeah, sure. Gusto mo ngayon na?" she grinned,
"Hala! Thank you po! I am your fan po!" inabot sa akin ni Prima nag phone niya at inutusan akong picturan sila. I just obeyed. Kaso nag-sunod-sunod na sina Belle at Ria kaya napakagat na lang ako nang mariin sa labi.
"Thank you po, Miss Xyle!" they exclaimed synchronously. Tita Xyle smiled and flipped her beautiful, silky, straight and black hair.
"Naman! Deserve niyong tumabi sa maganda, 'no?" she said while chuckling a bit. Napangiti rin ako doon, hindi siya nagbago. "Attorney Shanice, can we talk privately?" she asked. I nodded,
"Sure, Ma'am. There's my office." I said and went inside. Umupo ako sa swivel chair ko roon at hinarap siya, prente siyang nakaupo sa upuan at nililibot ng tingin ang buong office ko.
"How have you been?" she asked, still not looking at me. Her eyes filled with awe.
"Been good po. Had hard times, but I managed to survive po." I answered, "Kayo po?"
"Same old, maganda pa rin." She chuckled and finally looked at me. "Kailan ang uwi nila Shanel? Uuwi pa ba sila sa Pilipinas?" she asked,
"Hindi ko po alam kung kailan, pero opo. They said we'll settle here for good po again." I answered, she nodded her head twice with a small smile on her lips.
