Chapter 1

   Started off with the same boring routine, my alarm goes off at 6 am and I snooze it and finally wake up at 6:45 and, check my phone and catch up on all the messages I got when I snoozed my alarm "evathia: wake up mister, I'm coming to pick up in 30 minutes, I'm getting you coffee too so hurry before it gets cold!" "Finn: are you up? Eva is picking me up then coming to get you, so you better get dressed" oh shit. I quickly get up and rummage through my closet looking at all the different colors of overalls that I have, I grab my black ones with yellow sunflowers on the pant legs. I throw on a pale yellow and black sweater underneath it. I rush to grab my backpack and head out of the door.

  Eva already in my driveway i swiftly make my way to her. She gives me this look that says "ugh hurry up" I climb in the back seat. Finn hands me my coffee as he slowly sips his.

  "God can you go any slower Eli, we're gonna be late for class now" exclaimed eva as she started to pull out of my driveway

  "I'm sorry okay, i snoozed my alarm I didn't mean to sleep that long, i was up all night studying for that stupid geometry test today" i said

  " you don't study so what were you actually doing el?" Said Finn

  "Okay okay i was up stalking ollies instagram" i said with a soft and low voice to show my embarrassment

  "That's what you do every night el, why don't you just talk to them, you never know maybe they like you too" said evathia

  "Ugh but what if it doesn't go that way Eva, what if they think I'm a total weirdo" i said with frustration

  "They're not gonna think that El, have you seen the way they look at you, I'm sure he likes you too" said Finn

  "I'll talk to him.... Eventually" i sighed

  "Good!" Finn and Evathia both yelled towards me

   I sat back in my seat and started thinking about Ollie, he's isn't my usual type, I'm usually attracted to "golden retriever guys" if that makes sense. But he's different, one time she gave me a tarot reading and i almost screamed just by them touching my hand or even being that close to me. It's almost like he hates everyone but he has a soft spot for me, he's so kind to me. Maybe Eva and Finn are right maybe they do li-

  "ELI!!!!" My thought got cut off by Evathia yelling at me, and telling me to snap out of my haze.

"Eli we're at school hurry up we're already late to class." Finn said while getting out of the car.

   I snapped out of my day dream and quickly grabbed my backpack and started to climb out of the car. Ugh school, the place that has caused me the most pain in my whole 16 years of life. I don't think i can deal with the trans and homophobic comments today. If i say anything about me going by he/him pronouns I'll probably get punched in the face and get called a faggot, as usual, i just wish I could transfer to a school where everyone supports or is apart of the lgbtq.

    I approach the office to get my tardy pass.

   "Okay what's your name sweetie"

   
   I hate this question so much it just lights a fire from the inside of me, i hate having to say my dead name.

   "Olivia Downs" i say in a quiet voice.

  "I'm sorry honey what did you say?"

   "Olivia Downs" I say louder, almost yelling at her.

  I can see Finn and Evathia looking at me from the other side of the room, they could tell i was uncomfortable, but they also looked confused as to why i yelled at the desk lady.
