"no nick its my fault, i brought it up to her earlier" dream pleaded as the footsteps stopped feet away from the door to nicks room. "why. why would you do that." nick questioned, then continued. "you know what happened. you were there. why didn't you just tell her the truth after. you had every single chance to fix this and you didn't."

i tilted my head slightly, pressing my ear to the door as dream responded with a huff "my fault? its not just my fault nicholas. you had every single chance to fix it but you're so fucking afraid of yourself and your feelings that you would rather her hate you" i gasp as i stand up and swing the door open. "stop fighting. what the fuck is this about? im sorry for singing the song it was petty of me and that's on me. but what the fuck are you guys talking about?" i turn to look at dream, then to sap as the room goes quiet. "any day now" i sigh as i tap my foot dramatically

"okay" sap says as he grabs my shoulders and sits me onto the couch. "i hate to bring things up because i know they upset you, so stop me if youre uncomfortable" he sighs as he paces back and forth in front of me "um... okay?" i question as he nods and continues. "okay so that day when you saw me, you know... with the girl.. i was like.. how do i explain this dream?" dream sighs as he walks over and stops in front of me, kneeling down slightly "nick was doing me a favor..." he paused and looked over at him then continued. "the girl.. that was zara, my ex.. i needed to catch her throwing herself at nick so id have an excuse not to get back with her... i should have told you after but i just... i don't know"

he stops as i stand up. "you... you let me hate him..." i whisper as my voice trails off. "y/n...." dream says as he steps back from me "clay you knew.. it was your idea.. you went to look for him... you acted surprised... you.. you lied to me." i back away slowly until i reach the front door. swinging it open as tears streamed down my cheeks "i trusted you more than anyone in the entire world clay..." i breathe out shakily before sprinting out and down the street.
