Harry POV:

We ran into the Gryffindor common room. Fred, Neville, George, and Ginny waiting there for us. "No need guys. We have gotten you all into enough trouble. We will take it from here." I said. "Harry, Dumbledore's army sticks together. We won't let you down." Ginny said. "No Gin, until further notice, we have it from here." Hermione said. 

"Fine." Ginny said and then went up to bed. Fred and George headed up different stairs, Neville close behind. "We see McGonagall in the morning." Ron said. "Seems to be the next logical step." He continued. We all nodded. He turned and went up the same staircase Fred, George and Neville went up. Hermione sighed and went up the stairs to the girls dorms. 

"Good night Harry." Emlyn said. I went over and gave her a goodnight kiss. Her cute blush came back and her silvery blue eyes stared up at me. 'That girl will be the death of me.' I thought. We turned and went our separate ways.

The next morning, before everyone got up, Ron, Hermione, Emlyn, and I all headed to Professor McGonagall's office. We knocked on the door and she looked at us with surprise. "What are you four doing here?" She asked. "I suppose you have heard from Umbridge about what we've done." Hermione said.

"Yes, I have." She said. "We thought we would get punishment from head of house, so we came to bite the bullet." Ron said. "I was not planning on giving you punishment." McGonagall said. "What do you mean?" Emlyn asked. 

"Well to be quite honest with you all, Umbridge is a bit of a, excuse my language, bitch." She said. We all stared at her with wide eyes, not expecting her to say that. "So, my plan was to say that I punished you. Because I expect her group detention tonight will be...quite the punishment." She continued. 

"So you are going to do nothing?" I asked. "Precisely, Mr.Potter." She said. "Have a seat, take a biscuit too. Nothing like a little sweet in the morning." She said. We all sat down. "The only thing I am going to give you is a compliment." McGonagall said calmly. We all looked at each other, truly not believing her.

"You have done a very nice thing, the lot of you. You may have saved some lives. What you did, teaching those defensive spells, is a very useful skill. The rest of the professors really do appreciate it. So, as my secret reward to you all I will give 50 points to Gryffindor. But you must swear not to tell a soul about our meeting. Agree?" She said. We all nodded. 

"Good, you are dismissed. And please, be prepared for detention, one of those spells may come in handy." She chuckled. "Well that was shocking." Ron said. "Never seen her curse before." Emlyn added. "That wasn't the only shocking part." Hermione said. "Truly." I said quietly. 

We got down to breakfast and the great hall was packed for a Saturday morning. Then we realized it was waffle morning. Hogwarts students go unexpectedly crazy for waffles. "We almost missed waffles!" Ron said worriedly. "Well wouldn't that be just awful." Hermione said sarcastically. Ron gave her side eye.

We sat down and put some waffles on our plate. Ron was done in a matter of seconds. Quite impressive really. "I wonder what Umbridge will make us do for detention?" Hermione asked. "Not a clue." I replied. "Hope it isn't the quill." Emlyn shuddered. I patted her on the shoulder and she looked at me like she was about to bust out laughing.

A group of students were all walking down to the great hall with the same purpose. We all had detention with Umbridge for being a part of Dumbledore's Army. 

We all got to a spot and sat quietly. "If you behave yourselves, this will be the only detention you have with me. If not, those who choose to disobey me, will be back here tomorrow for another round." She said with a creepy grin. 

Emlyn glared at me, Ron, and Hermione to make sure we were out of here in one days time. We all nodded. The detention wasn't all that bad. We just had to sit in silence with nothing to do for an hour. 

We couldn't move, speak or breathe to loudly. We all managed. Ron almost broke trying to hold back a sneeze. That made Hermione almost burst out in laughter. But that was really the only slip up I had seen. 

Umbridge had some long ass speech about how wrong this was and then we were dismissed. "Quite flawless on my part." Ron said. "Indeed Ronald, I agree." Hermione smiled. Emlyn and I laughed out loud at their comments.
