“ Yeh comedy hai
Ya tragedy hai
Kya hona tha kyun ho gaya
Locha-E-Ulfat ho gaya ”Dev couldn't believe it. He absolutely could not believe that his two best friends could be this stupid. Everything was going so smoothly for him, though not as he had planned but he was happy with the course his conversation with Avantika had taken.
And just as he had thought that it was finally reaching a point where he could ask her something, here were his two idiots, ready with a new nuisance.
When Dev and Avantika came out from hiding, and looked around for the source of that noise, their findings were not that pretty.
Ishan was sticking to the glass, his palms on it, almost like a lizard on the wall while Shubhman was behind him, staring at him like he an alien all the while trying hard not to burst out snorting. The scene was hilarious to two people and not so funny to other.
Dev's gaze nervously darted to Avantika, trying to understand what she took it as. Was it good old humour? Or something he should be worried about?
To his dismay, Avantika had no expressions. She stood still with her eyes wandering to Ishan to Shubhman and then back to Ishan. It was as if she was trying to process what fiasco the so called ‘celebs’ of cricketing world were bringing upon her.
“Umm...I”, Dev made a desperate attempt at taking control of the situation trying to turn it into his favour but his friends stupidity proved to be more valuable.
Avantika eyed him, with a lazy smile, as if mocking him for there was no possible rational explanation for their actions.
He somehow seemed to have understood that as he made a beeline to the door to confront the two people.
“You dummies”, Dev whisper yelled, “Something was about to happen guys!! You ruined it", he spoke with a long face.
“I literally banged into a glass and could have hurt myself but you are more worried for that something which didn't even happen”, talk about having dramatic friends!
