CHAPTER 30

M E R C Y'S POV

"ALAM MO, NAGTATAMPO ako sayo." Napatingin ako kay Jovianna, with eyes confused. "And what made you think that?" We are both sharing our lunches this afternoon, since it is lunchtime. Kaming dalawa lang, wala si Achlys. Nagpaalam kanina si Achlys that he has some meeting to attend.

"You had been quite busy these days, parang hindi na tayo nagkakasama." Napaisip naman ako, she's right. Masyadong napukos yung atensyun ko ngayon kay Achlys. I had never had spent my time with Jovianna, since Achlys came in my life, again.

I look at her ashamed, "I'm sorry, medyo nabusy ako these days. I didn't mean to do that, pasensya ka na Jovianna." I sincerely said. I actually felt bad about that. She is the person I had only trusted, same goes to her and I don't want to break her trust. She is my only best friend.

She had been there through my bad times and also good times. Hindi niya ako iniwan, and I was thankful for that. Ayokong maramdaman niya na binabalewa ko siya. She's my best friend and the only one.

She tsked. "Pasalamat ka, mahal kita." She looked at me with some serious expression. "But, tandaan mo 'to, nandito lang ako. Even for what you are and what you will be tomorrow― just remember you have a friend beside you and at your back, okay?" Then she smiled at me brightly.

The thing I like about her, is that she gives out the positive vibe around her and it makes me smile also. How I wish I had that also. She's sweet and she's also a caring friend of mine. But sometimes I think― does she have a negative side? Just like me, wala ba siyang tinatago na sekreto?

Lahat naman ng tao may sekreto diba? But I don't want to doubt her. She's my best friend and I have to trust her like how she does the same to me.

"Nga pala, you seem pretty getting along with your husband? Did you... get back together?" That question, made me look at her. Oo nga pala, she doesn't know.
