It was now afternoon on the same day that Michaela Arklow and the Moonlit couple were proven guilty. Layered Envy (or her real name Lillian) drove herself to the hospital. She promised she'd tell the others that she'll text them if anything changes. She went through the normal business of telling the nurse at the front that she was seeing her boyfriend. The nurse made her follow her to the fourth floor and to room 414.

Nurse: Here we are.

Layered Envy: Thank you.

She entered the room to find her boyfriend in the same state as he was in a few days ago. She walked towards the bed and sat down on the chair beside him. She saw a bunch of cards and flowers on a table. She reached out to grab one.

Layered Envy: "Hansel, we're sorry that you're not feeling well. Get better soon and make more apple pies! Love, Polar & Panda." Wow. Even Polar and Panda gave him a card. That's so sweet.

She put the card back where she found it. She picked up another one.

Layered Envy: "Hansel, we heard about what happened between you and your sister. Hope you feel better soon. Love, the d'Aglior family. Angelica, Ciel, Stephanie, Robert, and Kelsey."

She put that card back where she found it.

Layered Envy: I don't know if you can hear me or not, but...if you died Hansel, I don't think I'll ever find a good replacement to match your skills. You and your sister are the best bakers I've ever met. I feel like this is my fault. I took you and Gretel down this road. I let you 2 get kidnapped. I made Michaela make a fool out of me by trying her 'fruit juice'. But luckily, she and your foster parents are facing a lot of jail time. Please, for me, wake up. Let me know if you're alright.

But he didn't. Lillian's eyes started to tear up. She held Hansel's cold hand and held it close to her chest. She let the tears flow.

Layered Envy: I'm so sorry. I'm a terrible girlfriend. I promise I'll be better.

She suddenly felt fingers move. But these weren't her own fingers that were moving. Lillian gasped and saw blue eyes open about halfway.

Layered Envy: Oh my God. He's waking up!

She pushed the button that calls the nurse. The doctor came in.

Doctor: It's a miracle. Hold on.

He went to get a glass of water for the Len module.

Doctor: Drink this, son.

Hansel accepted the glass of water.

Layered Envy: I'm so glad you're okay, baby!

Patissier Hansel tried to say something back, but it only turned out to be a squeak instead.

Layered Envy: Doctor, what's wrong with him?

Doctor: Let's see here.

He took out the X-ray.

Doctor: Ah, I see what the problem is. He's having a hard time talking because of something that his attacker did.

Layered Envy: Is he...mute?

Doctor: Temporarily. Because of how weak he is now, he won't be able to talk for at least 12 hours. 24 at most.

Layered Envy: 12 hours?! Isn't there anything you can do?

Doctor: I'm afraid not. We'll just have to wait until this wears off.

Layered Envy: Anything else I should worry about?

Doctor: Like I said, he's pretty weak right now. Thanks to his attacker, his arms and legs are completely immobile. So, he's not going anywhere today. You'll have to come back in another 12 hours or tomorrow morning. After 12 hours, his voice will be back.

Layered Envy: I understand, Doc. Thanks.

Doctor: Let me know if there's anything else you need.

He waved and left the room. Layered Envy took out her cell phone and texted Agitation.

Layered Envy: "Angelica, it's me. Hansel's awake now."

Agitation: "He is?!"

Layered Envy: "Yep. But now he can't talk for at least 12 hours. Thanks to Adam, he's temporarily mute."

Agitation: "Oh no." :(

Layered Envy: "And he can't go anywhere today because of his arms and legs being unable to move. We'll have to postpone the party until tomorrow or something."

Agitation: "That's okay. What are you going to do? Are you going to stay with him?"

Layered Envy: "I have to. Just in case. Go tell everyone else about this, okay?"

Agitation: "I will. Wow. Hansel really is a miracle."

Layered Envy: :)

Agitation or Layered Envy didn't text anything more. Lillian put her cell phone down. She then looked at Hansel.

Layered Envy: Why don't you sleep some more? You must be pretty tired.

Hansel just nodded in agreement. He let sleep take him. Lillian stroked his blonde hair and kissed his cheek. She then left to get something to drink from a vending machine. She's going to be at the hospital for awhile. She'll need to keep her strength up. But now she knows that Hansel's able to talk again in less than 12 hours.
