In the bureau

Around 11 in the morning, Kavin sir came to the bureau where he was informed to meet Acp sir. He walked to his cabin exchanging greetings with his juniors.

Everyone was already busy working there, and clearly he was the last one to arrive.....on his technically first day of work - quite embarrassing.

Kavin: *asking for permission* sir
Acp sir: Kavin...aao.
Kavin: good morning sir
Acp sir: a very good morning
Kavin: good morning sir
Abhijeet: good morning Kavin, kaise ho?
Kavin: thik hu sir

He smiling thanking his senior for his concern and looked up to his new colleagues- Sachin sir and Dushyant sir, with a smile, as a greeting.

Daya: sir *entering*
Acp sir: Daya
Daya: sir main hospital se aa raha hoon. Sir, driver ko bacha nahi payee...

A part of their hearts broke upon hearing the news. It was saddening... especially for those young cops. It is not that over the years you're used to seeing people dead... it's just that you're strong enough to face it all; but, he wasn't. His smile dropped and he looked down, guilt filling him up slowly.

Abhijeet: aur woh conductor?
Daya: woh thik hain, kuchh din mein discharge mil jayega

Meanwhile others praised the conductor and the late driver for their incredible sense of responsibility and service to the nation and it's citizens, his mind recalled something else....

"Saare...... passengers...ko...... bacha lo"

Daya: Kavin, tum thik ho?
Kavin: ha sir

Daya sir's words grabbed everyone's attention to the guy with leather jacket, who seemingly looked down. As Abhijeet sir and Acp sir looked at each other, after the newbie's answer, the former spoke confronting him

Abhijeet: kya baat hain Kavin? Tum hume bata sakte ho...
Kavin: sir woh... unhone driver ko mere aankho ke samane goli mari thi, aur main kuchh nahi kar sakaa
Dushyant: *placed hand over his back*

The golden trio looked at each other knowing exactly what this guy was going through.

Acp sir: Kavin, main samajh sakta hoon...par dekho har baar paristhiti humare saath nahi hoti, hum sirf koshish kar sakte hain. Aur mujhe pata hain tumne apni taraf se puri koshish ki hogi....
Kavin: *nods*
Abhijeet+ Daya: *looked at each other*
Acp sir: aur hum bhi puri koshish karenge ki inhen kadi se kadi saja ho
All: *nods*

Whilst their discussion went on, Purvi knocked at the door with an envelope in her hand, asking for permission to enter.

Purvi: sir
Acp sir: *allowing her with a nod*
Purvi: sir yeh court ke orders *giving the envelope*

Giving the envelope to her seniormost mentor, she smiled to her senior, she saw for the first time today, with a bow as in greeting him. He smiled back at her, a little wider than he thought.

Acp sir: Sachin *giving him the envelope*
Sachin: sir yeh..?? *confused*
Acp sir: tumhara case hain, tum dekho
Sachin: par sir...
Duo: *smiled*
Acp sir: dono itne samajhdaar ho gaye ho...
Abhijeet: aur yeh case to tum teeno ne hi solve kiya hain. Hum to waha aakhir mein aaye the
Acp sir: *giving*
Sachin: *looked at Purvi then took it*
Acp sir: and well done, both of you. Koyi chotta case nahi tha... good work
Sachin+Purvi: thank you sir
Others: *smiled feeling happy for them*
Daya: aur Purvi, Thank you... tumne Abhijeet ki....
Purvi: sir kaisi baat kar rahe hain aap.... please thank you mat boliye
