I was in a dream, standing beside three other figures, figures with blurred faces as they always were.

I've always had these dreams for as long as I could remember. Me with three (sometimes one or two) blurred people, their faces I can never see, it was almost as if my mind wanted to prevent me from seeing who they really were.

The scenarios usually changed from dream to dream but one thing usually remained constant, whatever the content of the dream was, I forgot as soon as I awoke.

For the particular scenario this dream played, we were all dressed in armor with weapons in our arms ready for battle. Each of our armor and weapons were designed with our signature colours; mine was blue, blurry #1 was red, blurry#2 was yellow and blurry#3 was green.

"I guess this is it, the final battle." I found myself saying. (Sometimes, I think these dreams are more than dreams, like they are memories or something of maybe a past life. But that's stupid right? There's no way something like a past life actually exists.)

Blurry #1 nodded." Yes it is, he's coming. This is going to be our toughest battle and we're going to win."

"But what if we don't?" Blurry #3 asked,"lets face it, he's strong and at this point maybe even stronger than us because we have grown weaker due to this century long war we've had with him."

"##### is right." (I could also never hear their names.) Blurry #2 said. "We have grown weaker, there's more than a sixty percent chance we may lose. The odds are against us."

"We will win." I said, firmness in my tone. "It doesn't matter whether the odds are against us or not because please, when have the odds ever been on our side? We will defeat him."

I couldn't exactly see the expressions on blurry #2 and blurry #3 faces but I could tell by their body composure that I had cleared any doubts on their minds.

It was silent between us,that is, until blurry #2 spoke." But even if we manage to defeat him, what's to say we can kill him? This battle will never be over until he his dead once and for all because if we only defeat and weaken him, as long as there is evil and corruption-"

"He will grow powerful again." We all said together.

"So, the question is what do we do if we are too weak to kill him?"

We all thought deeply about Blurry #2 question but there was no time to produce an answer because...

The darkness had arrived.
