~One Week Later~

~Hunter's POV~

I step off the plan to the cold air of Nashville Tennessee. I find my bags and frantically search for Libby. She promised me before I left that she would be the first person I saw when I returned. My hopeful heart is excited to see her again. I can barely stand waiting any longer to look into her beautiful eyes, wrap my arms around her and pull her close. I just wanna hold her and be reminded of the things that make her who she is. The girl I Love. I want to hold her and remember the way she smells. A mix of shampoo and and coconut body lotion and cherry blossom perfume. I worriedly scan the room one final time only to have my eyes rest upon her. She's wearing black jeans and a white shirt. She is also wearing heels that put her at my height exactly. She has her make up done perfectly. I always preferred the natural look and even no make up but I made an exception for her. She had her long blond hair curled. I set my bags down as she runs to greet me. I notice she is also wearing the black scarf I bought her on our first after she complained she was cold even though she was already wearing my jacket. She jumps into my arms and I pick her up remembering this moment.

"I Love you." I whisper into her hair as she holds me tighter. "I missed you so much."

"I missed you too. Next time you leave me for that long I'm just going with you." She laughs through her tears.

"Hey don't cry," I tell her as I wipe her tears away, "You'll ruin your make up." At that she laughs and takes my hand. We walk out of the airport to my car.

"Why do you have to go to work?" She asks as we pull up to an office building. "Don't they know you just got back."

"I don't know. It's about the big tour that kicks off this summer. We'll have dinner tonight though."

"Promise?" She looks up at me with her big brown eyes.

"Promise. Now I have to go. Love you." I lean over and kiss her goodbye. "Bye"

"See ya." I just stand there on the curb and watch her drive off already missing her again. Eventually I turn and walk into the building searching for my manager. When I finally find her she greets me with a cup of coffee.

"Hunter!" She quickly hugs me and hands over the cup. "We have a lot to do before kick off in a couple months. I'm glad you're back but from now on it has to be go-go-go." She says immediately turning and walking me down a long hallway.

"Good I've missed my music."

"Now our first order of business is your opening act."

"Really? That sounds good. I have a couple ideas of people that I think would bring a great energy to the show."

"Oh that's great but we already have someone and you're about to meet them. Well actually her. Her name is Nicole. After you left she's done really well. I don't know if you've heard of her but her music is really good and doing well. People also seem to really Love her."

"Wait you already have someone? Don't you think I should have been included on this decision?"

"Hunter, you were gone for six months and we couldn't just stop planning without you. If we did that we'd have to cancel shows that couldn't be rescheduled for almost two years!"

"But I-"

"But nothing! She's behind this door so smile and play nice." At that she opened the door and pushed me inside. "Nicole this is Hunter, Hunter this is Nicole." Betty introduced me to the new opening act for my shows.

~Nicoles POV~

"Hi. I'm Nicole."

"Yeah I figured." Hunter said a bit hostile.

"Hunter!" Betty hit hunter and told him to behave. "We've talked about this."

"No you talked. I can't make decisions for my own show and now I'm stuck with her." He said barely looking at me.

"Excuse me? We haven't even met and you're acting like this? I'm sorry but no. I thought you'd be a little more.... mature." I pick up my bag and start to exit the room.

"Says the girl in the 'I Love gummy bears' shirt." He spat at me.

"Ok well um, that's great. I'd say it was nice to meet you but really, it wasn't." I swing my bag onto my shoulder and head for the exit.

"No Nicole please stay. It was just a misunderstanding." Betty calls after me. I stop and turn ot face her and Hunter.

"Really?" I turn and look directly at Hunter. "Do you want me here?"

"Not really." He states quite matter-of-factly.

"Then I'm gone." And with that I turn and leave.

"Ans it's a tank top!" I yell my correction back at Hunter not even bothering to look back. "Moron." I mumble under my breath as the door closes behind. Great first impression. I think to myself. I was worried I'd be the one who's screw up but he's just being a douchbucket.
