adventures with the bad batch

Part thirty-five

For the past couple of nights I haven't been able to get a full night of sleep I kept waking up, I kept having these nightmares, I felt like I was going crazy.

But maybe tonight was the night. 

"Again" he ordered

I jolted awake panting heavily, damn It. 

"hey you're okay, you're okay" hunter cooed, wrapping his arms around me,

"it happened again" I said sadly 

"its okay, it will go away" he assured me 

"let me go sleep on the med bed, I don't want to keep waking you"

"No, you are staying with me" he said pulling me to his chest "go back to sleep" he cooed,

I woke up the way I fell asleep expect hunter was awake and was fiddling with my hair while reading a book, 

"Why are you still in bed?" I groaned waking up

"Waiting for you"

"You normally leave when you wake up first" I said stretching out my legs 

"Wanted to lie in bed for a bit longer" he said kissing my forehead, I buried my head into his chest, 

"Mmm, I am hungry" I said opening the door

"Me too"

We all ate breakfast before tech and hunter walked into the cockpit,

I followed them in

"Hey where are we going?" I asked 

"To the houses, we dont have a job today so we are going to clean them up" hunter said 

"Oo okay" I smiled

We landed at the houses and each of us walked over to our houses, 

"Okay we need to clean this place up" hunter to said to omega and I 

"Wait we should plan out what we are going to do with it first" I said 

"I call the biggest room" omega smiled running to the stairs 

"Oh no you don't you little womp rat" I said running after her, 

Upstairs had four bedrooms, a bathroom and a small area at the end of a hallway,  we decided to turn one room into an office type thing, two rooms had an ensuite but the master bedroom was very big. 

omega got the second biggest room, the room without an ensuite. We cleaned as much as we could before we got tired, we still couldn't stay in the house, still no electricity and water, it will take some time to get the houses ready to live in and we still need to do a few more jobs for Sid.

We all sat in the cockpit and ate dinner, I was sitting on the ground in front of the seat Hunter is sitting in. 

"oh can we put the holo-radio on?" omega asked jumping up 

"uh sure" Hunter replied, tech clicked a few buttons and turned on the radio, an upbeat song came on and omega ran over to me and Hunter grabbing Hunter's arm and pulling him up off his seat. 

"what?" hunter asked 

"dance with me" she smiled 

"oh no no no" he said trying to back away 

"please" she said giving him a look

"fine" he sighed, she stood on his feet and grabbed his hands, she swung his arms from side to side, I smiled sitting up on hunters seat, wrecker was clapping along to the music, echo was smiling, I even saw crosshair exchange a small smile. omega laughed and smiled as hunter moved his feet around, I loved seeing her happy, she is so sweet. 

As the boys peeled off to the bed, omega falling asleep quickly after dancing around, leaving hunter and I alone in the cockpit, we were listening to the music all the upbeat and happy songs from around the galaxy when a slow song came on, hunter got up and walked over to me, he put out his hand and smiled,

"dance with me?"

"I thought you didn't dance" I smirked 

"its a one time thing" he smiled, I took his hand and he pulled me up off my seat, he place his other hand on my waist and I placed my on his shoulder, we swayed around until he pulled me closer, I put my head on his shoulder looking out into the stars as we swayed around. just us two floating around in the galaxy together.

I didn't have a nightmare that night.
