curiosity

I did something. Something I shouldn't have done. I crossed a line that should never be crossed. Curiosity killed the cat, a quote that resonates well with my story. My father was a professor, he worked in mythography. He discovered a door to another world. This world was unlike ours, it was beautiful too beautiful. My father took me there my senior year, showed me the door. I was told never to create a rift between our world and theirs. Well, you can guess what I did. My father died that day, his screaming engrained in my mind. That's the day I became prey.
