~doctor's p.o.v.~
I knew jack was watching me. He had been ever since kaylee left. I was laying on the ground again, squinting at the petunias and tracing the cracks on the window and measuring the blades of grass by height... something was just wrong i just didn't know what! I shoved my glasses up to the bridge of my nose and ran a hand through my hair, now i was frustrated. So, i laid down and began measuring again. His eyes followed my every move and it was beginning to feel weird. Without looking up from my project i asked, "alright what's wrong?" I sonicked the tallest one.
He paused, "what were you trying to hide from kaylee earlier that you clearly didn't want to tell her, but it was obviously something, or else you would've told her." Jack folded his arms neatly over his chest and narrowed his eyes.
I am not going to let him tell her, so i pretended not to know anything, "uh, nothing." He frowned. "Okay Fine... i'll- OH OH OH that is good! No, no, that's brilliant!" I jumped up and kissed jack on the top of his head.
"What-"
Kaylee screamed. Directed for jack, i said, "i'll tell you later." I ran through the doors and up the flight of stairs, jack close behind, "kaylee!?" There was light coming from the space in between the door and the floor at the end of the corridor, jack looked at me.
"Let's go."
We sprinted past some dusty bookshelves and ugly vases and threw open the door. I couldn't see Kaylee, but it looked like a very scribbly version of a man stood right inside the entrance, i pointed my sonic at it. I don't care what it was, but if it hurt kaylee i might just lose it, so i sonicked it, the room turned blue. In a matter of miliseconds the blob disintegrated and kaylee fainted.

I caught her right before her head hit the ground, and held her in my arms, stroking her face lovingly, "she'd know just what to say right now, to make everything seem fine."
The doctor got her situated onto the bare mattress that lied in the corner of the room and began to pace. He could've been waiting for her to wake up, or maybe he was plucking throught the "information" he got earlier. I don't know. He started to talk, a worried look etched across his face, "the sketchiness."
"What? Yes, that man looked very sketchy, your point?"
"No, not that!" He took off his glasses, "earlier," he looked at me straight in the eye, he turned away then ran a hand thrrough his hair, in that annoying way he does, "earlier, you asked me what i didn't want her to know. The flowers, did you notice them? What was wrong with them?"
"They were wilted?"
"Wrong. They were sketched, like a, like a, like a... what's the word?"
"Drawing?"Kaylee stirred, "like a drawing. And, yes before you ask, i heard all of it. And jack you asked what i'd say when if i was concious, well it was, he looked shady don't you think? Get it?" Even the doctor looked confused and partially shocked, who wouldn't be? She began again, "that man you saw was a drawing... of mine, actually. He is... he was my dad. I drew that when i was six. I screamed because i recognized my signature dotted with a booger."
"Ew." She pretended not to hear.
The doctor, being him, pretended not to hear anything she just said and carried on, totally amd completely in the zone, "they had incorrect shadows, the sun was setting in the west, and their shadows were also in the west. I haven't yet figured out the grass, or the crack, for that matter, but until i do, "he took out a pair of handcuffs and cuffed one to kaylee, "you're not leaving my side... or sight."
