April 17th
The Palace was usually a very humble and safe place, for every corner was armed by a gaurd whose lives were dedicated to protect the royal family of Arelius. When the sun rose in the early hours of the morning, one could see the golden rays sparkle off the polished marbled floors. The windows, almost as a big as the castle itself, displayed the fluffy clouds which one can only dream of laying on. Large expensive paintings were plastered on the fancily decorated walls covered in magnificant golden swirls. However, the masked figure paid no attention to these attractions, as his mind could only concentrate on one thing, 'revenge.'
One might say planning to kill the Royal Family in almost broad day light was a foolish thing to do, others may say it took courage. In his case, it was pure agony. Pain so strong he couldn't tell what was right or wrong- everything was just a blurry mess.
It was too early for the kingdom to be awake, the sun was just starting to rise, leaving the palace empty enough for him to get the job done quickly. The boy had an objective, for he had planned this night for many ruthless months. He had to make things right.
He found the largest door in the palace, and silently pushed it open. The gaurd standing beside the door was sprawled on the floor, his arms twisted in a weird position. The boy smirked.
Inside the room, layed the peaceful King and Queen with dreamy faces. Also known as the murders of his parents. In his mind, the palace disapeared, and only shouts from his parent's were heard.
"Run! Save yourself!"
He shook his head clear of the memories, tonight was the night his parents could sleep in peace. The masked boy silently procecceded towards the large bed, knowing he was making the right decision. He pulled out something shiny from his belt, and raised it over the royal couple's heads. The long blade shinned in the relfection from the glisering rays from the sun. He paused, looking at their innocent faces, and brought it down carrying all his anger, fury, frusteration, and confusion. A sickening sound filled the quiet air as his blade dung deeper into their fragile skin. Red hot blood stained the expensive covers. It was over.

April 17th
She was not able to sleep that night.
She kept feeling an uneasiness in the pit of her stomach. In the past restless hours, she kept recieving strange thoughts that were scarier than the darkest of nights. She needed to talk to her parents. Despite the fact that her parents had to constantly be making sure the Kingdom was in a good shape, her close relationship with them was never put aside.
As she stepped out of her room, she glanced at the window. The sun had just risen over the mountains, and she stopped to watch the large glowing sphere rise slowly into the dull morning sky. The sun casted sunbeams in every direction while it illuminated the sky. She continuedly stared out the glass panes as the colors made by the rising sun changed, growing more vivid with the passing time. Making the sky more radiant as it climbed higher and higher into the sky. Technically speaking, she thought, sun never rises nor sets - its just humans perception from earth. But as beautiful as the morning was, something was off.
A loud groan, and the sound armor clanging onto the ground brought her back to reality. Her eyes widened when she concluded the sound came near her parents bedroom. In all her years in living in the palace, she had never once heard of an intruder being able to get past the high security outside. She didn't know what to do, all the security gaurds were missing.
Ignoring the fact she was wearing a satin pink nightgown she pushed aside any second thoughts and ran towards her parent's bedroom.
Outside the opened doors of her parents bedroom laid an attacked gaurd on the ground. She covered her mouth to block the gasp. Without thinking, she blindly stepped inside her bedroom- but stopped short when she saw a masked figure standing in front of her parents bed. He was breathing heavily, and lifted something from her parents body, something covered in red hot blood. A knife. Feeling her body responding to her again, she stumbled back in shock letting out a loud scream.
"NO!" She couldn't believe what was going on, this had to be some sort of nightmare. Her heart starting beating so fast she could barely hear her own thoughts.
The masked figure became rigid as he heard her voice. Quickly he whipped around facing the girl. He ran towards the window; however, the girl felt something taking over her, as she tackled him down onto the floor. He easily overpowered her, and flipped her so that she was below him- his hands pinning her down. She kept struggling, not giving up, to get out of his grasp. She didn't realize she was crying until the satly tears trailed down her face. The boy said nothing as he just stared at her, his cold blue eyes saying no emotion.
"Why?" She whispered, feeling the energy drain out of her. She stopped struggling, and closed her eyes- accepting her fate.
"The same reason why you want to kill me," His voice sounded strained. He suddenly got off her, and before she could even register what was going on- he was gone.
He had left another girl there that night, the once innocent princess of Aurelius was gone, and something else had emerged. The old her was weak, but never again would she be prone to these mistakes again. She turned over to her side, still laying on the floor, keeping her eyes down casted on the floor.
"Mama, Papa," she breathed, "I promise,"
She remembered the cold blue eyes,
"I promise to find him. And once I do, he will wish he died tonight itself."
"I will become strong."
The gaurds found the royal couple dead and the princess still on the floor an hour later. The life had been officialy taken away from the king and queen, but it was like she had died with them. That whole time she only repeated the phase, "I will become strong. "
And she did.
