Chapter 18: Day 9: Whiplash:

How could you, Stell? Clints voice span me around. His look of detest and disgust reached his eyes, which were watery, full of unshed tears, and made me want to crawl until a ball and cry.

How could you? I thought you were different. He exclaimed, pointing a finger accusingly at me.
What did I do? I asked, throwing my hands up in the air, tears in my eyes. What could make him hate me so much?

You know what you did! He shouted and pointed around me. You killed them! You killed my friends!

I dared to follow his finger and saw the horrific sight he was referring to.
Tony, Johnny, Thor, Bruce and Steve, all lying face up, mutilated almost beyond recognition.

Tears streamed down my cheeks like salty rivers and falling off the edge of my face like waterfalls.

I I didnt- I stammered, kneeling down in between Steve and Johnny. I couldnt have done this! I shouted in between hysterical sobs. They protected me! They were are- my friends!

Clint wasnt with me anymore, hed disappeared, leaving me in a room with no doors or windows, a single naked bulb lighting my terrifying work.

Im so sorry. I shouted again and again and again. I pulled Steves face into my lap and tried to clean the dried blood off of his face but it was no use, it was stuck there, frantically, I moved to Johnny and removed as much glass from his open wounds as I could until he looked semi-like himself again. Only cold, so very cold.

I did the same with Thor and Bruce, cleaning them up as best I could until I came to Tony.

His gorgeous movie-star face remained untouched, but his limbs were twisted in unnatural ways and his chest was bare the arc reactor missing, like it had been clawed out by an animal.

I screamed, for as I looked up, Loki was in my face, staring at me intently.
