Damon's Back

Bailey's P.O.V

School was boring. The only highlight was I got to hang out with Jeremy and met some new friends and Jeremy's sister. I kept thinking that she looked exactly like Katherine, but unlike Katherine I actually liked Elena. I grew close to Jeremy's friend, Vicki during lunch. The bell rang for the end of the day. Jeremy and I were walking to the parking lot where I had to meet Stefan. 
Jeremy: So, are you going to the party tonight?
Me: I don't know. I haven't really thought about it.
I said of course lying because like my brother,Damon, I can't pass up a good party.
Jeremy: Oh. Well I'm going to go and I was hoping I'd have someone to hang out with.
Me: Well in that case. I'd love to go.
I couldn't help but giggle and he smiled.
Jeremy: Well cool.
I then heard Stefan call for me.
Me: That's my queue.
I started to walk away when Jeremy ran in front of me.
Jeremy: Hey, I was wondering if I can get your number. You know so I can text you.
Me: Sure.
He handed me his phone and gave him mine and we put our numbers in them. We handed them back to each other.
Jeremy: I'll text you later, okay.
Me: Okay. See ya Jer.
Jeremy: See ya Bai.
We both went our separate ways. I hopped in Stefan's car. I couldn't stop smiling.
Stefan: Why are you so happy Bailey?
Me: No reason. Just drive.
Stefan started driving and before I knew it we were in front of the boarding house. I closed my door and went inside.
*At the party*
Stefan and I had just arrived at the party and was looking everywhere for Jeremy. I finally found and walked over to him.
Me: Hey Jer.
Jeremy: Hey.
He looked at me and then looked back in his original direction.
Me: What are you looking at, Jeremy?
Jeremy: Tyler and Vicki.
My heart sank. I could tell that he really liked Vicki. After a while Jeremy started walking toward them. I decided to follow. Tyler started yelling at Jeremy.
Tyler: You're really getting on my nerves Gilbert.
Jeremy, Tyler and Vicki all started to get into an argument. After a while Tyler and Vicki walked away and Jeremy and I just sat down on the grass.
Jeremy: I'm going to go look for Vicki.
Me: Do you want me to come with you?
Jeremy: Sure. I can't go anywhere without my new best friend, now can I?
We stood up and started looking for her. After walking for a little bit Jeremy tripped over something. We looked down and saw that it was Vicki. Elena quickly ran over to us.
Elena: Oh my god. It's Vicki.
Jeremy started checking her for a heart beat. Not too long after she sat up and started gasping. I then heard Elena yell.
Elena: Somebody help!
Jeremy real quick picked her up and took her out of the woods with Elena and I following him. Matt saw her immediately and quickly ran over to us.
Matt: Somebody call an ambulance!
Tyler then came over with a whole bunch of people.
Tyler: Everyone back up. Give her some space.
Elena then said something that caught my attention.
Elena: She's losing a lot of blood. Something bit her.
Then I heard Stefan say something I thought he wouldn't say.
Stefan: Damon.
With that one word Stefan and I vampire sped back to the boarding house. We went up to Stefan's room when a crow flew in through the balcony window. I quickly screamed and hid behind Stefan. I have hated birds my whole life. Then Stefan and I turned around. When we did I couldn't help but smile.
Stefan: Damon.
I quickly ran over to Damon and hugged him. Damon smiled and hugged me back.
Damon: Hello little brother. Hello squirt.
Stefan: Crow's a bit much don't you think?
When he said this I heard the bird caw and I quickly released from the hug and hid behind Damon.
Damon: Wait until you see what I can do with the fog. And sorry kiddo I completely forgot that you're terrified of birds.
Stefan: When did you get here?
Damon: I couldn't miss my brother and little shrimp cocktail's first day of school. 
When Damon said this he pulled me out from behind him and went back to hugging me and kissed my forehead.
Damon: Your hair's different. 
He said this letting me go and smirking.
Stefan: It's been fifteen years Damon.
Damon: Thank god! I couldn't take another day of the 90's. Remember Stefan it's important to stay away from the fads.
Stefan: Why are you here?
Damon: I missed my family.
Me: I missed you too Damon.
Stefan: You hate small towns, they're boring and there's nothing for you to do.
Damon: I managed to keep myself busy.
Damon said this smirking. I went over and sat on Stefan's bed and just decided to let my brothers talk.
Stefan: You left that girl alive tonight. That's not like you.
Damon: And that could be a problem for you. He smirked again.
Stefan: Why are you here now?
Damon: I could ask you the same question, but to sum it up into one little word. Elena. She took my breath away, but she's a dead ringer for Katherine.
Damon started walking around.
Damon: Is it working,Stefan? Being in her world does it make you feel alive?
Stefan: She's not Katherine.
Damon: Well let's hope not. We all know how that ended. Say Stefan when's the last time you had something stronger than a squirrel?

Stefan: I know what you're doing, Damon and it won't work.
Damon: Oh come one. Don't you crave just a little?
Stefan: Stop. 
Damon: Come on. Let's do it together. I saw two girls out there. Or let's just go straight for Elena. Imagine what her blood must taste like. I can.
Stefan: I said stop.
Stefan tackled Damon through the window. I real quick ran over and looked down. I saw Stefan on the ground but I didn't see Damon.
Damon: I was impressed. I'll give it a 6. Missing style but very surprising.
Stefan: You think it's all fun and games. Wherever you go people die.
Damon: That's a given.
Stefan: Not here.I won't allow it.
Damon: I take that as an invitation.
Stefan: Damon, please.After all these years can we give it a rest?
Damon: I promised you an eternity of misery and our mother that I would protect Bailey. I'm just keeping my word.
Stefan: just stay away from Elena.
Damon: Where's your ring? Sun's coming up in a couple of hours, then poof ashes to ashes.
Stefan looked up from his hand to Damon.
Damon: Relax. It's right here. 
Damon held out Stefan's ring to him and he took it. Damon grabbed Stefan by the neck and threw into the wall.
Damon: You should have known better than to think you're stronger than me. You lost that fight when you stopped feeding on people. I wouldn't try it again. Oh look. You woke up Zack.
Damon started walking back to the house.
Damon: Hi Zack.
