Harry Styles
Blabbering. In one ear and out the other.
"Harry, dude, are you even listening to me?"
"Nope."
Louis scoffs and rolls his eyes after I've ignored him for the past ten minutes while he goes off on me for whatever I apparently did to Ellie.
He hasn't stopped running his mouth ever since she left in a hurry as soon as Louis got home. She almost looked as if she was about to cry, she's so sensitive for no reason. They both are, I mean, I'm sitting here being lectured by my best friend like he's my dad, and I still could not tell you why.
"You know, maybe people would like you more if you weren't such a bitch all of the time," Louis states in a disappointed but annoyed tone.
"Why am I in the wrong here? She was the one who came at me for just trying to be funny? Why don't you lecture her for not being able to take a joke?" I say while I go through Louis' pantry for something to eat, before popping some cheese puffs into my mouth.
"Also, these taste like shit," I make an exaggerated gagging face at the cheese puffs I just stuffed my face with.
Louis snacks the giant tub from my grip with an annoyed glare, "Can you take me seriously for one minute? God, Im convinced Sawyer is more mature than you."
I lick the cheesy dust off of my fingers before rolling my eyes at the mention of my fifteen year old sister. No way is she more mature than me, he nor anyone else knows what they're talking about.
"Do not bring Sawyer into this," I pinch the bridge of my nose in irritation, completely over this conversation. I genuinely don't understand what him or Ellie are so riled up about.
"Fine," Louis stops his rambling that I've been tuning out for the whole duration of, "If you want to be difficult, then you'll have to learn the hard way."
Suddenly I find an interest in what he's about to say, curious as to what he thinks he's about to "make" me do. I'm a grown man just as much as he is. Even if he may be a few years older than me, he still can't make me do whatever he wants.
"Tomorrow, instead of coming into work as normal, you're going to go out on the boat and check on all of the crab traps for my dad's restaurant," Louis crosses his arms, looking so fed up with me.
"Okay?"
I'm confused what this is going to "teach" me. I've done this many times before, it's not like this is a punishment of some kind. Louis' dad owns a popular seafood restaurant not too far from work, and he sometimes asks Louis or one of us if we can go collect the crabs from their traps.
"And you will bring Ellie along with you."
"Wha-"
Before I can interject he cuts me back off, "And only Ellie. No Niall. No Charlotte or Eliza. No Sawyer. You will learn how to get along with her, and once you do, you'll realize that she's actually an amazing person and you're just a dick."
There are a million thoughts running through my head right now, more specifically about how badly I don't want to do this. Why can't Louis understand that I don't want to get along with her?
I laugh at his attempt to sound strict in his order towards me, not being able to take him seriously, "Nice try bud, but you can't force me to do that. And I'm sure as hell not doing it willingly."
"Actually, I can. Right now, I'm not your friend. I'm your boss, and as your boss I'm ordering you to do this."
I stare it him with my mouth agape, no words being able to escape my lips due to knowing that he's right and there's nothing I can do about it.
