as a big fat tear rolled down his cheek, harley sang the words of Hold On.

he was also thinking about his ex Summer and how she wasn't the right fit for him. he hoped to one day find his partner in crime.

unknown to both of them their thoughts were already intertwined. they were thinking the same thing. little did they know, they were that person for each other.

later that same day, both of our future lovebirds wiped their tears away, sniffled, and headed to school. they hoped the school day would provide a welcome distraction, and that it would be a good day.

their hopes shattered when they bumped into each other in the hallway. these two hate each other because in the third grade, they both wanted the first cookie on the last day of school. unfortunately, none of them got it because the teacher noticed and ate the cookie up herself. and from that moment forth, they had a resentment of each other that had lasted through middle school and freshman year.

to deepen the chasm that was forming between them, Harley was also a complete asshole during Spanish. he would laugh like a hyena every-time words would come out of nina's mouth.

but just yesterday the teacher had announced that they'd be paired up randomly for the field trip to spain. there had been a loud chorus of groans as the class realized they wouldn't be able to choose.

both nina and harley zoned out as the teacher listed the names of the pairs.

"jessica and david"

"josefine and evie"

"g-dog and jack Az"

"nina and harley"

they both snapped out of their daydreams

"w-what?"

"no."

"all decisions are final" droned the teacher

they both sat in shock before they shared a grimace.

here began the tale of two everlasting lovers brought together by spanish- a love language.

or in other words, fate.
