A beeping sound echoed throughout the dim room as Yashiro sat up, rubbing his eyes. He tapped the alarm clock near him quickly in hopes to not wake up the others. He stood up and checked the calendar in hopes it would be the day he assumed it would be... And yes, it is. February 14th, circled on the calendar with red marker. He had marked it since January and already wrote a long and detailed speech for this important day for an important someone.

He quickly drew the curtains open and is greeted by a small ray of sunshine, but then it slowly faded away. Yashiro frowned, for a lovely day, the atmosphere for it was a bit dreary. The sun is covered by the thick dark clouds and as soon as he had this thought, light taps of soft rain started playing outside. He had wished since yesterday that it should be sunny for his theme to match, but unfortunately, the weather turned gloomy. He shooked this thought and decided to get dressed. "I wish the rain stops soon...", he whispered to himself rummaging through his clothes.

Once he got dressed, he sneakily went to the door and opened it slowly to avoid making a noise. He tiptoed to the corner and peeked to the kitchen. No one is there. He made a sigh of relief and walked towards the table and noticed a note attached to the food cover.

"I prepared your breakfast on the table, I covered it for you. It might still be warm. I had to go somewhere, but I'll be back soon."

/*smudged and covered writing*/

— Kuroh"

After Yashiro read the note, his attention focused on scribble. He thought Kuroh must've made a mistake while writing this note since he used a pen and he must be in a hurry.

While eating, he kept thinking what the writing said before Kuroh covered it.

Once he was done eating, he took his bag and placed his own homemade bento. It contained macaroons, dango, sushi with a couple of riceballs to balance the consumer's taste and lastly Tamago and omelette. Kuroh's favorite. He smiled with his little achievement and placed the small paper flowers he made last night and a jar with paper stars and hearts that contains short poems and sentences of what he likes about Kuroh, a.k.a. the special someone he was referring to. He placed his own note beside Kuroh's note in reply:

"Can you come to school later at lunchtime? I have something for you, meet me at the rooftop. Also, take care!

—Yashiro"

Once he was done, he happily made his way to the doorstep, took his umbrella, and left.

While on the way there, he started having second thoughts that what if Kuroh wouldn't like the gifts or he would'nt like the food he made. Yashiro doesn't know how to make dishes, but he tried by watching a few tutorials. But after he arrived at school, he remembered that he was determined to come this far and made the effort to impress Kuroh. He took a deep breath and looked at the dark clouds looming over him and smiled saying, "Well.... Cupid, wish me luck."

//12:00pm//

*school bell rings*

As the students started flooding out their respective classrooms, Yashiro squeezed his way through and went straight to the rooftop. The rain has ceased but the dark clouds are still there. He knew it would be crowded there too, but he had discovered a secluded place and a spot where only he knows where.

He waited and waited and waited, looking around, peeking around the corner to see if he has arrived, but after 20 minutes, he started to think that maybe Kuroh hadn't come home, maybe he hadn't read the letter yet or maybe he is still doing something at this moment. He sighed and looked down at the lunch set and slowly started walking away.

He planned on heading back to his classroom when he heard a familiar voice call him. He turned around and saw Kuroh walking up to him, holding a bag and stood close in front of him. "What is it that you want to show me?", Kuroh asked while staring intently at him. Yashiro smiled and said "This way."

The two made their way to the so-called spot Yashiro prepared, and he knew the floor would be damp there, so he took out a large towel and placed it on the floor and sat on it. "Sit here." Yashiro tapped beside him. Kuroh obliged and turned to him and asked the same question, "What is it that you want to show me again?". Yashiro took his bag and started to take out the things he had made. First, he took out the lunchbox, "For you! I made it, your homemade bento!" he said proudly, before Kuroh could reply, he took out the paper flowers that was taped to each other to make it look like a boquet, and finally, the jar full of paper stars and hearts with writings. He placed it aside watching Kuroh process whatever has been given to him. "Lunchbox? Made by you?", Kuroh replied letting out a small smile followed by a faint laugh. Yashiro pouted, "I promise! I did make it! For you! I'm not joking, I swear! I hope you enjoy it..." he blurted and chuckled a little. "I see." Kuroh muttered as he opened it and looked at the other gifts.

There was a long silence between them as Yashiro waited an answer while Kuroh was chewing the last piece of sushi. After a while, he closed the lunchbox and turned to Yashiro. "It tastes delicious... I appreciate the thought." Kuroh said as he smiled. Yashiro felt heat rushing on his cheeks as he stared back at Kuroh who then turned away.

"I have something for you too..."

"Huh?" Yashiro snapped back to reality and looked at Kuroh who takes out a boquet from the bag he was holding. He turned back around and said "I bought these.......I know this small gift can't match what you gave me but—"

"No no! It's fine! I love it- I appreciate it!" Yashiro smiled and blushed as he received the bundle of roses. "Thank you, Kuroh." He turned and smiled softly.

/*School bell rings again*/

"Oh...I have to go now.." Kuroh said but there was a hint of sadness in his voice while placing all what he received into his own bag. The two stood up and Yashiro rolled and folded the towel they were sitting on which was now a little damp and placed it in his bag. Before Yashiro could walk away, Kuroh grabbed his arm and kissed his cheek, "See you later." Kuroh whispered and walked away. Just as when Yashiro turned around, touching his cheek, Kuroh had already disappeared. His face became bright red and whispered under his breath, "See you later..." hoping the wind would carry his longing of affection and attention from his dear clansman.
