The missing stones

After you snap out of your day dream you realise you have been standing in the shower for 20 minutes and are now very late for the team meeting, as you rush out of the shower wrapping your towel around yourself you take one wrong step on the wet tiles and fall face first onto the floor. As you slowly stand up leaning against the sink you turn to the mirror and notice yea small bruise under you right eye, "great just what I needed" you think to yourself rolling you eyes. Once your dressed in your suit you throw you hair up in a messy bun and run down the hallway to the meeting room, as you push the door open you stop in your tracks as you watch everyone turn and look in your direction. "Ahem" tony clears his throat catching you attention "so nice of you to join us" he say shooting you an annoyed look and you shuffle around the room towards an empty chair at the back of the room close by to Loki.

"As I was saying there are four infinity stones here on on that we know thanos is looking for" he continued as he turned back around to the large screen behind him. "One is the mind stone which from our Intelligence we can locate in Bruno's Aires, Argentine. The other missing stone is the power stone located in Moscow, Russia and of course the time stone is held by strange and the souls stone is in Y/N's chest." He turned around to face the group "okay so plan time we are going to split into three groups which cap will explain" she said moving aside and taking a seat. Steve stood up in-front of everyone and began to explain the plan "okay so Nat, Bucky, tony, Clint and myself will head to Russia to collect the power stone. Y/N will head to Argentina with Thor and Loki to protect her alone with peter to keep in contact with us" he said as he looked around at everyone. "Absolutely not my sister is not going to find one of these things if thanos is looking for her she must stay here where she is safe" quill said looking over at you with a worried expression. "Look We thought it would be safer, by now thanos knows she is here with us, so it would be safer for her to leave in case he decides to come for her early" Steve explained to quill. "The rest of you will stay here and prepare for the attack with Strange and Bruce and protect earth for any attack while we look for these stones" Steve continued.

As Steve was explaining the rest of the plan to everyone you looked over at Loki to see he was already starting at you, every time your eyes connect you feel a shiver down your spine and your cheeks flush red. You give him a little smile as you can help but thing of the incident in your room, you can feel goose bumps frowning on your arm and you pull your sleeves downs so no one notices. "Anyone have any issues with this plan" Steve said as he finally fined his presentation of the plan "sounds pretty good to me, I've never seen any places on this earth" you say as you looked over at Loki and Thor "ready for a holiday boys" you continued giving them a grin. " you better not let anything happen to my sister you hear me, she all we've got" quill said as he turned around to look at the other guardians, you stood up and walked over to the group with Thor and Loki "don't worry guys they will keep me safe, I promise I will come back you you" you say as you pull them in for a group hug. "Alright avengers let's suit up and meet in Tony's lab he has some presents for us" said Steve as everyone began to leave the room, as you went to walk out the door your heard rocket call out to you "hey Y/N wait up" he said running up to you with little groot on his shoulder "here take groot with you for company, you'll need it travelling with the status" he said as he lifted little groot off his shoulder and placed him in your hands. "Are you sure you want to come groot it might be dangerous" you said as you looked down at him standing in your hands "I am groot" he said as he started to climb onto your shoulder, "just take care of him okay" rocked said as he waved goodbye to groot "thank you rocket, I'll look after him I promise" you say as you lean down to give hims a hug.

As you get to the elevator you see a young boy about your age standing In front of it waiting for the doors to open, you walk up and stand next to him in silence. "Hi I'm peter, Peter Parker" he said as he looked over at you "I know who you are Peter" you said as you turned to meet him with a smile "oh sorry I wasn't sure if you would remember" he said with a small laugh out of embarrassment. "I am groot" groot said as he peered around from your shoulder to look at peter with his hand held out for a hand shake, "what the hell is that" peter said as he stared at groot with a confused look on his face. "That's groot, he's just saying hi" you tell Peter as he is slowing holding his hand out for groot to shake his finger, "what is he" peter asked at the elevator doors finally opened and you both stepped inside. "I'm not sure what his species is but he is a tree, he use to be a lot bigger but unfortunately he got destroyed when he saved my life one day. I found a see the fell off him and grew it and now he just a little sapling" you say you Peter as you grasp grog off your shoulder and hold him out to peter "he's my best friend, me and rocket are the only ones who can understand him so he tends to stay with us most of the time" you watch peter hold out his hands closer to yours for groot to stand on. "I am groot" he said as he looked up at you "it's okay go on" you reply as Peter looks over at you as he holds out his hands for groot to stand on.

"Oh wow your really cute little guy" he said as he watched groot take a seat in his hands and start making flowers appear, the elevator dinged "ground floor" it said as the doors slowly opened and up picked groot up placing him on your shoulder. You and peter both step out of the elevator and start walking down the long hallway towards Bruce's lab, "are you excited for this mission" you ask Peter "it's not my first mission with the avengers but it is my first with two gods so I'm a little cautious " he said giving you a nervous look "I think it will be fun" you replied "plus I have never been to earth so I'm very excited to see more of this beautiful planet" you said as you both reached a large pair of doors at the end of the hall way. Peter pushed one of the doors open and turned back to look at you "are you coming Y/N" he said holding the door open for you, "coming" you say as you slowly walk through the door into the lab. Once inside you see tony, Bruce, Loki and Thor standing around a table as you and better walk over you notice all the different weapons and gear placed out along the top on the glass bench. "Now here are some presents for you guys to help with your mission, we have also made you custom suits and identities for your trip" said tony as he handed each of you a suit and a passport  "we have located the stone in a museum so you will be going under cover to keep you safe" he said as he looked at bruce "we know we're not the only ones looking for the stones to be carful and alert" Bruce said before walking over to a large computer. "Okay your flight leaves in 7 hours so let's gear up" tony said as he walked over to join Bruce as you all started looking at the weapons on the table.

As you walked around the table you noticed two sets of daggers as you you reached down to pick one up you saw Loki's hand grab it from underneath "oh no darling these must be for me" he said picking up the dagger and admiring it. You looked up at him with an annoyed look before turning to look at tony "actually Loki those are for Y/N" he said with a grin on his face as he watch Loki turn around with a puzzled look on his face "what she can't even use them" he said with an annoyed tone. You looked up at his face before snatching the blade out of his hand and holding it up to his throat forcing he backwards, "I think she will be find" tony said with a small chuckle "there all yours Y/N" he said as he turned back to the screen. "I'll be taking these" you say as you remove the blade from Loki's neck and collect the others, "what the hell and I suppose to use then" Loki said looking around the room in frustration. "We have something you might like" Bruce said as he walked back over to the table with a large case in his hand, he placed the case on the tab,e and pushed it over to Loki "here you'll like this" he said as Loki started to open the case. When he lifted the lid you saw a glowing blue septa with a long golden handle as Loki lifted it out of the case "how did you" he began to say as tony interrupted him "it's to say thanks for helping us save the wold this time" he said as he took the case away, "now hurry up or you will miss the flight" he said before we all turned to walk out the door.
