9 - Crush

Abala ako ngayon sa pagbabasa ng bulletin ng Biological Science Division. Nakaka-tuwang basahin kasi madami trivia about many kind of life forms. Super interesting na nag-doubt tuloy ako kung bakit nag-Journalism ako at hindi Biology.

"Gale, di ba?"

Napalingon ako sa lalaking kilala ako pero di ko naman kilala. Nag-iingat na tinignan ko ang lalaki. Delikado na...

"Sorry. Ako nga pala si Dex. Kaibigan ni Simon." He introduced and offered his hand.

Tinanggap ko yun at nakipagkamay dito. Kaibigan naman pala ni Simon.

"Hi. Nice meeting you."

"Hinihintay mo si Simon?" tanong nya. "Matatagalan pa ata yun."

I simply nodded and glimpsed again to the bulletin.

"Having fun? Interesting, right?" he asked again.

Tumango na lang ulit ako. He accompanied me and commented on some trivia on the board. Amaze na amaze pa rin ako. Kaya di ko na namalayan ang oras.

"Gale!" narinig kong tawag ni Simon sa akin. Palapit pa lang ito sa aming dalawa ni Dex.

"Sorry natagalan ako."

"Okay lang. Andito naman si Dex." I told him at nilingon si Dex. Simon nodded at Dex.

"Let's eat?" Simon asked.

I nodded eagerly. Nagugutom na nga ako.

"Sama ako!" Excited na sabi ni Dex sa akin.

"Back off, dude! Girlfriend ko yan." Simon said to Dex.

He took my hand and dragged me out of the building. Nang makalabas kami, tumigil na lang sya bigla at humarap sa akin.

I looked at him. Ang weird nya, ha?

He exhaled and closed his eyes for a couple of seconds. "Sorry."

"Ahmm... Okay."

He nodded and smiled at me.

"Let's go." He said and he held my hand and laced our fingers together.

Nakarating kami sa isang cafe at as usual, KKB kami but he always order an extra desert for me. Para daw tumaba ako.

After we eat, we stayed there just to relax and more kwentuhan. But today, we are unusually quiet and he was doing his assignments. I remembered last Saturday na monthsary namin. It was a total epic fail on my part, naturingang girlfriend di maalala na monthsary. Tapos I realized na it was my project pa! Tsk.

I apologized naman agad and honestly tell him na nakalimutan ko talaga! He brushed off my apology at sinabi na lang niya na ilibre ko na lang sya ng ice cream as a gift for our monthsary. As we ate our ice creams, he held my hand. That was the first time he held my hand and interlaced our fingers. It was my first time na mag-HHWW!!!

Pinapanood ko na lang sya. He was seriously doing his stuff. I can't stop myself but to admire him. He looks so dedicated to his studies. He must get extra credit to that. Plus points din na mabait at maalaga s'ya!

"Kanina mo pa ako tinititigan," he said without looking at me. Busy s'ya sa pag compute ng kung ano. Then he looked at me smiling, "Baka matunaw na ako nyan."

"Crush na ata kita." I said with a straight face. Crush lang naman di ba? Dati konti lang, but knowing him more lalong humanga ako sa kanya.

He looked shocked and he blushed! Ang cute n'ya! Then his smile turned into a wide grin!

"Sabi na e! Crush ako ng girlfriend ko! Gwapo ko talaga!" he arrogantly said, scratching his nose.

"Yabang!" sabay bato ng tissue sa mukha nya.

We laughed.
