"Hey Jess, I'm going out with Nicole, make sure to close up and clean out the coffee pots." Luke yelled from the bathroom. Tidying up his hair and tying his tie.

"Sure." He muttered from the recliner, watching television. He thought for minute before he pulled out the telephone and dialed his girlfriends phone number.

I finished up my last sentence on my essay before the phone rang. I angrily mumbled under my breath. "Oh my god, I'm so tired of doing all this homework I wish school could've never existed- Hello?" I answered the phone confused at the number although it looked oddly familiar.

"Hey." he replied.

It was him. My heart got all fluttery, and began to smile since he called at the right time.

"What's up?" I tried not to sound like I was excited, but deep down I was so happy he called.

"Um, Luke is going out tonight, do you want to come over?" He tried sound nonchalant but at the same time he was happy that she picked up.

"Yeah, I'm just gonna finish up tidying my room then I'll go over. Do you want me to bring anything?"

"Bring a good movie or two."

"Alright, see you later." I quickly hung up, and cleaned my room as fast as possible. Took a short shower and put on some light blue mom jeans, a white baby tee, some converse, and his leather jacket that needed to be returned. It smelled like him and I never wanted to give it back but I think he's silently asking for it every time I go over.

Around thirty minutes later I was finally out the door and heading to the movie store. I rented Almost Famous and The Outsiders.

I looked into the diner from the outside and saw him behind the counter. My smile grew from ear to ear and I nearly ran to enter.

"Hey." I put the movies on one of the tables and went behind the counter giving him a hug and placing a kiss on his lips. I love how he held me when we hugged, I felt comfortable and safe in his muscular arms.

He slowly pulled away, "Hey," with a slight smile forming on his face. "I just need to finish cleaning up these coffee pots then we can go upstairs."

I grabbed one of the rags from under the counter and began to help.

"What are you doing?"

"Helping?" I replied sarcastically. From the way he was working it would've taken much longer than fifteen minutes

"What movies did you get?"

"Almost Famous," his eyes lit up, "and the Outsiders," I chuckled, "you're like Ponyboy, leather jacket and greased hair." I squeezed his cheeks as I said this and he just stared at me blank faced rolling his eyes.

"Almost Famous," he repeated, "my favorite." he mumbled quietly.
