A heavy storm rattled the clans around the lake. Rain poured and lightning cracked, spooking young kits mid-sleep. Even with the storm, the gathering was held under the shield of the large oak trees. 4 cats sat within the branches, occasionally getting drops of rain plopped on their heads. Many cats sat below the tree, looking up at their leaders with wide eyes.
"Aspenstar, you may start." A plump ginger tom looked over at the gray tabby she-cat.
Aspenstar looked down, "TreeClan is thriving, and today we have three new apprentices who have joined us here tonight." She flicked her tail towards a small group of apprentices, a gray tabby she, a black and white patchy tom, and a brown and gray tabby tom. "Featherpaw, Leafpaw, and Branchpaw." As the crowd cheered, the three new apprentices looked around in excitement and confusion of all the noise. "We also have a new warrior today, whom is sitting their vigil(??) back at camp. This warrior is Eagleberry." The cats continued shouting the new warriors name, Leafpaw seemed jealous to lose the attention. The grey tabby she-cat stepped back, flicking her tail in the direction of a patchy light-brown tabby tom.
He stood and stepped forward, "CaveClan is also thriving. We have two new kits, Marshkit and Mallowkit, back at camp. May they grow into good warriors." He dipped his head before stepping backwards.
The ginger tabby forced himself forward. "FallowClan is not doing well. We are losing our warriors to a deadly case of greencough. Our catmint supply is low, and I was wondering if any of the other clans could spare some? I will repay you. I promise."
Aspenstar was the only one able to look at the tabby tom. "Tawnystar, I will spare you some since you have helped us in the past." She dipped her head.
Tawnystar seemed pleased, "Fuzzystar, Sunstar, I understand you two are not willing to lend me some, but at least show some respect." He huffed. Sunstar stood, his pure white pelt shimmering in the moonlight.
"Willowclan is doing fine, prey is good but there has been foxes stalking our borders. We almost lost our deputy from a border fight with one." Tawnystar looked around, "Then that concludes this gathering. May StarClan light your path." The cats then proceeded to leave with their clans.
