Ishan made sure he packed everything in his suitcase. All his needed belongings, yes, also the box that held his memories with his beloved Alpha. His Mayank.

The box held a year's worth of memory, Ishan clutched the box to his chest once before stuffing it inside his suitcase. He was escaping from the coming wedding. He and Mayank had decided to run away to another city to safeguard them from Ishan's family members.

It was at midnight that the lovers were to meet at the train station. The omega's nervousness made him take mousy steps at the dark hour where his maroon Punjabi suit (the one in media) blended with the dark walls of the corridor.

Ishan knew his parents would be upset about his rebellious behavior but they would except his and Mayank's union once they were mated. He reached the main gate of their mansion and on seeing the guard asleep slipped through the main gates.

He marched outside pulling his heavy luggage out of the gates. Hoping not to be seen by anyone, he was sure none would know not at this hour. His cab had arrived and he rushed. A smile erupted on his face, finally he was to go to his loved one, escape the engagement. There was no ring on him, he knew Mayank wouldn't leave his ring finger vacant nor his neck.

The cab arrived at the railway station. Ishan's step didn't quiver, he was convinced everything would make sense be better. Him with the love of his life. Ishan sent a text to Mayank informing him that he was at the destination.

Soon, Mayank and Ishan would board the train, for a new life and happiness. Ishan loved Mayank, trusted him, he was his faith. His omega was content, feeling loved and excited for a new dawn to emerge.

Ishan knew his parents hated Mayank, even when he was introduced just as a friend. How could they not, he didn't seem to suit their status. He was just a gamblers soon. An all too lucky gamblers soon who acquired wealth through semi debauchery.

The omega didn't care at all. Mayank mattered to him. Always would.

Well Ishan was early at the station. Waiting for his Alpha. He smiled to himself at his own eagerness to run away. All he could think of was Mayank.

He kept on looking at the time. Mayank should have arrived, his habit of reaching late was going to get them in trouble. And with that Ishan grew restless. It was dark and he was alone.

He rest his head on the luggage on his lap. Certain that if the alpha was late they would board another train, hopefully.

He didn't realise that he was sleeping untill his phone rang. His eyes opened to the just sun rising and his heart stopped, he looked at his phone and it was Mayank.

He couldn't contemplate the moment the situation became agonizing. He picked up the call.

"Hello, Ishan, I'm sorry." It was Mayank.

"Mayank, where are you? Are you ok? Did something happen are you alright?" He panicked. Mayank well being his first priority then to ask why he wasn't present there. Ishan was unaware about the hint of betrayal.

"Ishan I can't do it. I can't commit to you like this, go back. We can't do this. I can't." Mayank used his softest tone, somehow guilty.

Ishan stood frozen. He cut the call. Everything coming back to him, Mayank didn't want him. His omega only functioning the few negative words that came from the other end of the phone.

An excruciating pain in his chest, and hot stream of tears that ran down his cheeks were so opposite to his personality. There was a crack in his heart. His omega slowly shutting down.

He didn't know where he would go now, especially with the hand written note in his room. They would find out, such a disgrace of an omega.

He left his bag and his phone and walked any direction his legs choose to.

Walked until he came to a starting of a bridge. The pain in his legs wasn't even noticeable to his brain, because his heart pained even more. The world was on mute for him, just his slow heart beat that constantly reminded him that he wasn't worth living. After being a disgrace to his family and also rejected by an Alpha he loved.

The morning wind blowing through his long hair made him awake to the fact that he wasn't needed. He cried. His vision blurry couldn't contemplate the height at which he was going to jump.

And he closed his eyes, whispering an apology with a dry throat.

And took a step ahead,..........
